Dick,
My Kapex station is something I slammed together on a Saturday with out much thought. I received the Kapex on a Thursday (I think) and that weekend I wanted to give it a home.
My plan was to have systainers on both sides. Then I wanted to put my bench top machines inside a cabinet. Then my systainer collection double, then tripled with in a couple months. I quickly ran out of systainer storage. When I built this station I was still trying to map out my shop. This for me was a temporary fix for storage needs.
If you have a similar need then it works just fine. The reason I want the UG set is because it's a smaller foot print. Mobile, I have a deck and shed to build next spring and I know I'll be using the Kapex for the builds and want a easy way to haul it back and forth from the garage to the back yard.
And I have heard good things about the UG set as well. Not to mention it goes with this Festool theme I have going on [wink]
I have the Kreg fence with stops that slide on both sides of the Kapex. I used 5/16" knobs and threaded inserts in the top of the bench. So if I need to remove them I can.
Here are some pics for you....

Don't get me wrong. This set up works great and could work great for someone else. So if you have a vision for your Kapex station then go with it!
