Using Conturo to band countertops

Hello,

We are considering purchasing the Conturo edgebander to band 3mm PVC onto countertop edges.  Specficially, we are hoping to band tops that have 3" radius outside corners with 3mm x 1-5/8" banding.  Is anyone having luck using the Conturo for this application?

MEYER, I have used the Conturo to edgeband curves with a radius of 90mm (approx 3.5") with 7/8" wide 3mm PVC edgebanding.  It required a few practice runs but the machine did it.  It did not easily go around the curve with the PVC at room temperature.  I think the wider edgebanding and tighter radius so would be more problematic.  Warming the edgebanding might help but, I have gone to 2mm PVC when I go around curves as it is much easier to maneuver. 

You could always try it with the 30 day trial and see if it does what you want it to do.
