Using Domino with 1/2" plywood for shop drawers

I' m going to build some shop drawers and started thinking about using 1/2" plywood with Domino's, why 1/2", well they don't have to be heavy duty and I would like to have all the drawer space I can get. I have the Domniplate from Senneca but I would like to hear the pitfalls of building the drawers this way if anyone has had success or failure. Thank you.

Here's a video of Builder Bob showing how he uses the Domino, Domniplate and 1/2 ply for drawers.  Check it out.  I'll let him comment on how well it worked out overall since I haven't uses this construction method before.

basically, you can make them out of any thickness you wnt. But the standard is 1/2"-12mm.

Most use baltic birch. You can use any type you want.

I use 1/2" sides with 3/4" front and backs,that way I can use 6mm domino's,and undermount slides.

For cheap and cheerful drawers in the workshop I use 18mm MDF - it is easy to cut, dominos make it as strong as it needs to be and it is very quick to make.

I've used dominos and they work fine for me.  I've used 5mm when I wanted them exposed and 4mm for hidden.

Thanks everyone, I think I'm going to something using both builder Bob's method and Peter's. Peter I've never seen veneered mdf like you used, not saying it doesn't exist over here but I'm not familiar with it, great video by the way. Thanks Fred.

Veneered MDF is very common over here and is easy to work with. My efforts have improved no end since getting into Festool because I rarely get tear-out when cutting - particularly with the TS55.
