I glued veneer to glass using system three epoxy.  It seamed ok, but now a day later, after applying a coat of shellac, the veneer is bubbling up in a few places.  Is there any way to fix this?

It might be helpful to post some more information about the project.  Size, wood species, type of veneer ( single ply, double ply, paper backed), how clamped / pressed, etc.  Are the bubbles isolated to an area or random?  If you press down on the bubbles, do they go down?

I think I pretty much have my problem solved to the extent I can.  I ironed it out, and it went flat, this fattened out the parts that were lifting, and caused new spots on the seams to lift a little.  I super glued the seams and put a few coats of deft acrylic clear coat over it.  I guess I'll have to wait and see how long it lasts.

3cpg,

I am glad to hear that you consider your problem solved.  I am curious though as to what caused the condition in the first place.  I wonder if there is a problem with the epoxy and the denatured alcohol in the shellac.

I don't know that I have ever seen a wood veneer attached to glass, not to imply that I am an expert.  It is usually veneer to some wood substrate with a urea glue, contact cement, etc.
