Wall and base support SYS-CART Base

Hi.  

Would like to try to source one of these to go on top of my shop built sysports.  Anyone managed to source them in the USA?

Any Festool dealer can get that for you. Or Woodcraft or Lee Valley for the Tanos version.

If you just want part of it , then you will need to order the parts you want from Festool. The parts diagrams are available by clicking the "spare Parts"  link under the Festool Websites heading up above.

Alternatively has anyone found a good way to attach in a removable way a systainer or sortainer on top of a shop made cart?

How about just the lid from a Systainer?  About $20 in the parts list.

People have made latch / cleat set ups out of wood for them. Have to do some searching to find them on FOG.

Great idea - I'll order a spare lid or two.  As you say, could make one but i could easily see that taking too long to be time/cost effective.

Glad I found the forum - been a festool geek for a while but have recently loaded up as I'm doing a substantial part of a remodeling project...  Just getting everything set up to "pounce" once the construction crew have given me the all clear to start my part of the work....

Hmm... dunno... I didn't even realize that the OP called it out by name in the title.  [blink]
I'd probably look to Lee Valley as they seem to have the best Tanos selection I've seen.
If Tanos were smart, they would just ship the SYS-Cart Base and the wheels as two separate SKUs and allow the retailers to sell them as such.
I don't know if that is the case or not.

Heck, the wheels on the sys-cart look pretty decent. The OP could probably just get that, sell the wheels here, and get off cheaper than buying just the base.  [big grin]

Me, been using this for quite a bit and works great for me , although I will be replacing the castors for slightly bigger ones,  
It's a bit rough and ready as it was meant as a prototype but it took a while to get it right and I couldn't be bothered to do a neater version .
