WCR 1000 & Boom Arm Handle

I just got the WCR 1000 and was trying to install it on my CT 26 with Boom arm kit. I don’t know if something is out of square if it’s supposed to be pushing on the handle on the right side. I loosened all the screws thinking maybe I installed it crooked but nothing will let it move that much. As you can see in the picture, the handle is almost touching the little black rubber that is part of the boom arm mount on the CT 26 and the base on the left side isn’t touching. But then in the right side it’s pushing the handle back quite a bit and the base is tight. I really had to twist the WCR 1000 base to get the right side tabs locked into place.

Is the the same for everyone that has one?

I don't have the boom arm, but I have a WCR 1000 on my CT 26 and it fit on without any issues at all; just dropped into place and attach with the classic latches.

There is a thread from 2 years ago that shows a picture of another user who has a Boom Arm and WCR, and others who have noted that they are using both simultaneously without any interference or obstruction.

I have a a WCR 1000 on a CT26. I also have the Boom and Handle.

It was an older CT16 and I had to replace the top plastic from FT parts as the old one cracked.  Installed the new one and could not get the WCR 1000 to fit.  Called FT support and they informed me that you have to take the bottom plate off the WCR1000 and reverse it so that the label is to the back, not the front.  That then allows it to fit properly.  You do have to loosen the large screws on the handle bottom that attaches to the CT26.  But this looks like the same issue that I had.

See if that helps.

[member=167]neilc[/member] Yes, I already unbolted mine and turned the base 180 degrees as I noticed it wouldn't attach to the top of my CT26 as I have the new T-Lock hose garage.

So is your handle still pushing on the right side even after loosening the screws?

Yes. My handle on the right (looking from the back of the vac) is about 1/4” from the plastic corner and touches the plastic on the left corner.  I have not noticed it being a problem with stability or functionality of the boom arm or removing the WCR 1000 for changing bags.

Did you loosen the bottom bracket screws on the handle and see if that helped with alignment?
