What about the other 7,000 plus out there?

Beautiful work snowman, made from Cypress?

Mike

Thanks Mike!

As requested by the owner, it was made with white pine, personaly I would have chosen cedar for rot resistance. Cypress is not available here in Quebec.

Beautiful work on the gable vents.  How many hours do you think you have in them?

Wonderful work, Snowman

How did you cut the curls at the bottom of each side of the eave?  Looks like perhaps routed with a piloted bit and a jig I'm guessing.

I'd spend 25 hours just measuring and figuring out what I had to build!

Thanks guys for the comments! The curls were made freehand with a 1/4" spiral bit mounted on a trim router, then finished with a sharp gouge.

The X braces were laminated, it was quite a challenge to make these!

Which is why I asked  [big grin] Next stop continuous curved handrailing!  ;D

A couple of gable vents that I made for an old house restoration

Looks great!
Did you guys make the corbels? BTW, what do they finish (prime, paint) that pine with.
I am sure it will see some serious weather [big grin].

Hi Tim,
I made everything on the gable vents. About the finish, I can not tell, the job was delivered to the contractor, they take care of the finishing and installation. I am located in Quebec near Tremblant, winter is pretty rough here!
