Yes, I kinda assumed that. So if they are glued in can you still move the bed out of the room if you move homes etc.

An atrium (bird cage) made for a clients office.

Laminate inside for easy cleaning, wire shelf bottom above drawer for cleanout. Bottom for supply storage.
Glass doors on end have push/ release magnetic catches.

Built up top and area behind drawer provide hidden ventilation, space for receccessed lighting.

Peter,  I have found that regular double strength glass will work in most applications, however for the atrium I did use tempered glass simply because of the size of the glass and because it was going into a Drs. office. So to answer your question Tim, yes both the sides and front of the atrium were glass.

I just finished this on friday.. breadboard framed under bar and added corbels... I made the frame using dominos and Kreg pocket screws , then attached frame  12" long  then added breadboard and centered each piece into the square.  then added corbels..

made this today in the morning and installed it this afternoon.. I used hickory ply and then used rustic hickory as the face frame with a 1" trim at top of walnut.

then I used the Raz 115 to ding it up then I used the ro 90 to sand a bit.. then stained with aged oak stain from min wax..  all this so the customer can have a place to store all his shoes.. this is the same customer as the hugh walnut built in I just posted and finished..

Kreg, we did it all on that one, , framing, drywall, tile, cabinets, we even made the hickory millwork, all except the plumbing, electrical, and wallpaper. Here's a couple of pics during the rough framing, after raising the floor in one corner of the room by over 8 inches, the ceiling was dropped in the opposite corner the same amount until level.

Mike that's what I like to hear, great job  I've been using rustic hickory lately for projects and using it a lot more including regular hickory,..  thanks again that is an awesome job...

Peter, i've installed probably hundreds of glass inserts on cabinet installs, and to my knowledge, none were tempered. (a few very specifically I know weren't )

Hi Tim sorry I read your question wrong the other night. I attached the railway to the headboard and foot board using 1" angle iron and screwed it al together so I can disamble the bed I'd I ever need to.
