I just pulled the trigger on a DTS400 REQ

Congrats - I think you’ll love it. I Certainly love mine. Super useful for all sorts of applications.

Picked up a really nice ETS EC 150 used. Good price, great condition, 3 years old.

Used it all afternoon and seriously in love with it. So easy to use. I think this will usurp the DTS400 as my favourite sander.

Hi [member=72399]CeeJay[/member]

The ETS EC 150/3 is my "go to" sander as well. I have both hard and soft pads. It looks like you may have some Granat - i now only use Granat as it lasts well and does not clog.

Peter

Thanks @Peter Parfitt.

Yes I have a good stock of 150mm Granat, plus some Rubin, as I also got a used RO150 earlier this year.

Your excellent  videos were a big part of my research into upgrading my sanders.

So with the RO150, the ETS EC 150/3 plus the DTS I’m calling that ‘done’ for sanders for me. I know I can hear some sniggers at the back there....[emoji849]

Anyway a bit of patience and waiting for the right ones to come up on Gumtree (Craigslist for Aussies) that’s all 3 now for less than the price of a new RO150 and DTS.

Yesterday I ordered the surefix systainer. I think that is the right name. It is the one with three types of oil some abrasives and pads for using the oil and polishing it.

Just got the systainer with the finishing kit in it. The three different oils pads etc. Can't wait to try it out.

Earlier this week I picked up the Bluetooth Remote (202098) and can now concur that it is the very best Festool accessory. It came with an Emerald Blue Sys2, further shoring up my position in antiquated Systainers, so that was a bonus. But man, that button makes life nice.

. Yes!... once you are seamlessly shifting from running a tool to swapping a vacuum nozzle to vacuum up a mess the tool didn’t catch, without ever walking over to your vac to manually turn it on like you used to.... you wonder how someone didn’t offer this sooner... [big grin] [big grin]

My 2nd holey (LR 32) 1400 rail. Cause making rows of holes of 2,4m long is irritating with only one 1400 length of holey rail.

Only because Festool still doesn't sell them in 3000  [mad]

I actually bought it yesterday, but it got delivered today, from some warehouse in BE.

Agreed, I wonder why they don't just make them all that way? They sell for the same price, why not just eliminate the non holey version? It would cut down on item numbers and make it easier for the retailers too.

Only in the US they sell for the same price. Here the FS 1400/-LR32 (496939) is ~€25 more expensive (including 21% VAT) than the normal FS 1400/2 (491498). Online about €115 vs €90

Nothing big, I bought the 36mm-27mm hose adapter. Looks like it will work quite well and is built to last a while

Lee Valley gift card was left by the Elf...so in addition to another metric measuring tool, I also ordered the Festool 8mm and 10mm Centrotec drill bits. I don't need that size often, but they will be good to have available.

I wonder where you would ever use that? You mean 498528, right? Use the D36 hose on your sander / jigsaw / OF 1010??

A KS 60 E-UG-Set/XL came by, pre-owned at a very nice price.
Bought it from a pro carpenter who treated his tools with care. This is easier to move about than the KS120, and was put to work the next day framing a partition wall inside, it performed effortlessly.
Great buy!

Yup used it with my domino yesterday. I also used it with my TS55 yesterday to. I gave pretty good extraction just like using the 36mm hose
