What Festool Did You buy Today?

PDC 18/4 needed a new drill with a 13mm chuck after my t-18 was stolen had been using my CXS for most drilling and anything over 9mm I would use my old bosch SDS what was a bit of a pain especially if there was no power handy.

I was waiting for my tax rebate before buying anymore tools but managed to knock my CXS of a marina where I am laying some decking into the salt water, fished it out but it is not working to well now. But considering how much I abused the poor little thing I am surprised it had lasted the 3 years I had it .

Really sorry to hear your T18 was stolen. Stealing the very tools a man uses to make a living is a low act.

Also sorry to hear the fate of your CXS, Robert; I think I'd cry if I lost the use of mine!

Yes having anything stolen really sucks. Years ago I had about $10k of tools stolen, felt gutted, and have never really caught up from it, particularly on the cordless front.

Couldn't resist this .. will hopefully have my HK85 and bits tomorrow too [smile]

A Sys-roll, deep toolbox, and Sys-MFT, which I'm not sure I'm gonna keep since I can't lock it on top of any TLocs. I wanted it to go on top of a stack on the Sys-Roll as a small movable work station in case I wanted to clamp something small on it while working at the other tables.  May look to see if I can swap the top with a Sys-1.

Just ordered another two Festool 492000 Dust Hood OF 1400, pulled to hard on the vac hose and yanked the hood into the 1/2" router bit.  Was routing slots and holes into 1/4" polycarbonate air diffuser for a refrigerated case.  Luckily I have another till these two arrive, hopefull will do better as I have 14 more to rout.  Going to attach my Y adaptor and another hose to claean out the jig rather than keep removing the router hose!  [blink]  [scared]  Just a side note, before buying the Festool routers I use now, five, clean up was a real PITA.  Now I clean up in minutes.  [big grin]

Thanks for pointing this out, he DID have me confused by posting that... [blink].  wonder if I should post a pic of my SYS-MFT in various places of the Systainer Stack it lives in.... [smile]

:P I have to confess my ignorance.  I got it all home and was in a hurry to go help my neighbor replace two outside second floor window sills and beat the rain, and didn't pay close enough attention to what i was doing.  Confirmed you all were right when i got home tonight.  Thanks all.  love this place!

That thing looks like the Ron Jeremy of power tools  [eek]

Is that a Sys5 that it comes in.

[member=59890]Grakat[/member] - Yep it's a sys5 and it only just fits. If you haven't got it sitting perfectly in the supporting foam you can't shut the lid. It's wet here and I can't really play with it at the moment [crying] [sad]

I don't have space to swing a small rodent in my garage at the moment and all of my saw horses and timber are in the "B shed", so it'll have to wait.

Just picked up the my domino 500 and domino assortment. Worked flawlessly right out of the box.
Cabinet construction is about to speed up!

It happened while I was visiting a dealer - a SysRock hopped into my shopping bag... I resisted the urge for so long, now I have to finally admit defeat.

Great sound, not just while working...  [eek]  [big grin] [big grin]

Finally jumping into the Festool tracksaw club and bought the TSC 55 this morning!

It's my first tracksaw and should be arriving tomorrow (thanks quick shipping festoolproducts/toolnut!).

Wow what a dream to use. I tried it connected to my CT and the hose is just cumbersome in my opinion. The bag that comes with the TSC however captures the majority of the dust and I can't really imagine using the corded version.

Sample picture of 10 cuts I made in 5/4" pine. Each cut a little over 4 feet long. Batteries I used started at around 80% and after all 10 cuts was still going (LED was one bar at this point) but did not slow down at all. Not sure how many more cuts I would need to make before recharging.

Great photo Oliver...nice composition, the colors are spot on. [thumbs up]

Was that taken with a camera rather than an iPhone?

Second thought, maybe that is from a phone because of the lengthy DOF.

Hi [member=44099]Cheese[/member] ,

Thank you very much! :) I took the picture with my crusty-rusty-trusty iPhone 4S :)

Kind regards,
Oliver

I just rounded up 2 saw blades that are NLAINA...that'd be No Longer Available In North America.  [crying] [sad] [mad]

The Festool aluminum blade for the TS 55 and the same blade for the Kapex.  [cool]
