What Festool Did You buy Today?

The wifey got me an HKC55 and imported the Centrotec CE-SORT installers kit from the U.K. For Christmas.  She is so awesome!

Picked up a TS55 and MFT/3 as a birthday/Christmas present to me. Got it assembled and squared up last night but only managed to get a couple test cuts in before dinner.  So far so good.  [smile]

Its great having wives like we have. Mine is no stranger to the inside of the Festool store either  [big grin]

C-18 - to see if Festool drills are all they are cracked up to be :).  After all, the sanders worked out well for me.

I saw the Festool UK has a free battery promotion.  Maybe if I luck out, Festool US will run the same promotion before 30 days from yesterday.

Lol, doubt it.

The PDC for me and an extra battery. I know the new batteries and updted drills will likely be coming out later this year, but I figured the PDC would not receive anything new with belt hook, etc... and I need the extra torque.

Worked out well "compared to what"?

Well I have several and they all work better than the sanders I replaced them with - mostly DeWalt or Porter Cable.  Dust control with a CT-36 now vs a Fein before is definitely better.  I chalk that up mostly to Festool sander design, but somewhat to CT-36 HEPA performance.  In the sander case, Festool's "systems" approach is also an advantage.  I don't have experience with Mirka's sanders (just for instance) but I bought Festool rather than Mirka because I liked the systems approach.  For example, using a Domino with the CT-36 (my first two Festool tools) convinced me to give the sanders a closer look because virtually zero chips and dust got out of the Domino.

My wife, aka my CFO, gave me a Domino 500 set for Christmas. I am a very lucky guy.

CT 36, RO 125 Sander, Systainer of Abrasives for RO 125, Domino 500, Systainer package of dominos and domino full bit range.

Last week bought a used DELTEX DX 93 for corner work and already running into incompatibility of new hose bayonet end with old squishy kind on dust extractor.

See other post in tools and accessories.....  what was wrong with the old squishy hose connectors??

MFT-FX accessory kit for the tables I'm going to make (whenever) with the parf guide system that's coming sometime in a week or so.  Given that the kits are disappearing in England, I thought I'd pick up the last on that my dealer had while it was still there.

Well Because Im coming back to the states inna few months, I went and picked up a few festool swiss army knifes, a couple of Toolies both are NAINA, and a couple of festool tape measures cheaper here then in the states for some reason and a sys 2 with a attic which is cheaper here then in the states.

Ron, that's ALL..??!! [smile]  Seems to me you could stock up on all kinds of NAINA goodies and have them shipped back here! Clean up on reselling them here! (To idiots like me.)

Are you going to change your FOG name back once you get to the USA.!?

Safe travels.

Was thinking about the FOG name, yea I'll go back to Sancho when I return. But I don't get things to resell them Jeff. I'm not a importer of exporter.
But I do have a quite a bit of hard to get and NAINA things I'm bringing back for personal use

Today i've just received my news toys tools :

- Planex LHS 225 IP + planex d36 pipe + planex support for CTM + Systainer for abrasives

- BHC 18 Basic (and a Free 5.2 Ah batterie, due to a Festool Offer : one 18V tool buying = one 5.2 Ah AirStream free)

That's a new christmas    [drooling] [drooling] [thumbs up]

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but strongly considering the Vecturo set and the OF2200 with the accessory kit.  It's going to be $2000!  Yikes! [scared] [scared] [blink] [blink]  I have an angel sitting on one shoulder and the devil on the other.  One's whispering in one ear to be financially responsible and be a grown up and the other saying in the other ear you can't take it with you, you deserve it, it's only money...  I wonder which one is going to prevail?

Well the OF 2200 is a marvelous bit of engineering, and (as my wife says) my shop keeps me off the streets.  There's got to be some redeeming grace in that :).

How do you know which is which? Could be the angel telling you that it is only money, deserved and to treat yourself... [scratch chin]
