Having read how much folks seem to love their DTS 400s I thought I’d get one.

Picked up a nice 3 yr old unit from Cash Converters (pawn shop) for about half the price of a new one. Came with a swag of Granat and Rubin too.

Good for you...you managed to score the latest version with the larger motor, the removable pad/edge protector along with the new bag.  [smile]

A LEV 800 in bag which i stumbled upon, pre-owned. I guess I was just lucky, I had eyeballed the same level in Stabila’s own colours. It is very handy, as it will ease calculations. With the ability to calculate slope in mm/m (in/ft) among other very useful built in tools. Very happy with this find, it will see a lot of use. It does also have a scale on top which I don’t think Stabila yellow has?

I received Metabo's 36/18v tablesaw, discovered that it does not accept the standard 18v batteries...of course since I had ordered two of the regular 8amp ones.  Ordered two proper ones at great discount on Amazon as well as a combo battery and charger again at discounted pricing.  Metabo has a voucher for free transformer or battery as ongoing deal, as has $25.00 rebate for any HTP purchase.

Finally, a CT 26E showed up pre-owned. Being a little disturbed by slight OCD to have used tools cleaned up I did with this as well. I scrubbed the outside which had its fair part of stains from paint, cement and plaster along with scuff marks. I did also dismantle it to get to its inner checking dust build up around motor and electronics. Dusted the whole inside (which wasn’t bad at all) Finally I mounted the handle and Bluetooth module which I had laying as new parts waiting for a used CT. I bought it (and the Festool level) from a carpenter who clearly took care of his tools.
The filter, which of most used CT’s I’ve seen have been totally clogged, like clay.. [eek] was on now mine, in a near new state, along with totally clean tub and 4 new bags.
I even got loads of hose connectors, one 36mm and a 22mm AS hoses, stainless piping, HD adjustable floor nozzle, and even more hand nozzles in the purchase. Not to forget a brand new filter for water pick up. Not a single thing was broken, only slight wear on some parts, but totally insignificant. All that for $350. It was a bit of a clean up, but it was worth 1 1/2 hour. Now that I’ve checked it, it will probably run problem free a long long time.

Thanks to COVID (I think?) the STM 1800 is still available to pre-order so I got one from toolnut.  Ordered the Guide Rail Square set from TSO while I was at it.

My guess would be: as a rough drill guide.

Please no drilling through the holes on this Stabila. These are not hardened bushings. The level will suffer immensely. Check the symbols on it. It's only for layout/marking with a pen. Every time someones drills through the holes in a Stabila level, a tiny little Stabila level dies.  [crying] [crying] [crying]

They are used to layout combinations of outlets and switches - upholding the correct distance so you can install either a single cover that accomodates 2 to 5 (I have seen up to 8 ), outlets/switches. Or a single cover for each outlet/switch.

The distance (center to center) is 71mm for combined covers, 91mm for single covers.

DTSC I found it used on eBay about half price. I’ve been enjoying it so far. For the price it is worth a couple quirks that come with used tool buying.

Put down my money (or rather 1/2 of it plus all Gov Gruesome is going to get) for the Kapex UG set.
Wanted to buy locally, which I did. But I thought the guy (think the owner) could have made a little friendly, it's not like I was asking for a kiss.
Maybe it's to make it a truly German experience that they make like they're doing you a favor taking your money.

[member=53905]Gregor[/member] I believe that the exact same level (as LEV 800) in Stabila colors don’t have a scale. Not that it’s very useful, but nonetheless nice. Wiha does also have these specialists levels for electricians:

Finally pulled the trigger on the Work Center.  Also ordered a DTS 400 and the TSX set.  I really like my CSX and wanted to try the other form factor.  All of the new drills had too many configurations to figure out.  At least now I will have 2 drills and 4 good batteries, so I should be good for a while.  This will be my third sander and eyeing a 4th (RO at some point).  Its weird that the part of wood working I hate most (sanding) is where I am spending a lot of $$.
