Well that would make my credit card melt !
The OF2200 is one of the 3 best machines that Festool have ever conceived (alongside the Domino and Centuro). At one point, having sold a lot of my old (pre Festool era) kit, I only had the OF2200 and no other router.

Where did you find that? I would love to get my hands on a couple of those!pettyconstruction said:New UG stand and the vacuum hose adapter .
Interesting thing about the hose thing, it is lacking the annoying locking ring of the newer hoses.

Have to say, I was hesitant in getting the 2200 and put it off for a while, I already have the 1010 and the 1400 so thought that would do me but I have recently started to tool up my spindle moulder and starter to appreciate the heft of more power in terms of cutters so went for a 2200. I got a really good deal on it, Nuts & Bolt in the UK have them at a decent price at the moment. First impressions are it's a well built machine, hefty but very controllable given its weight - no regrets yet.
Nice work as always Peter, good to see what the machine is capable of.
Coen said:Only in the US they sell for the same price. Here the FS 1400/-LR32 (496939) is ~€25 more expensive (including 21% VAT) than the normal FS 1400/2 (491498). Online about €115 vs €90

Crazyraceguy said:How do you get "deals"? I thought Festool had fixed prices everywhere? Is that just a US thing? I was under the impression that dealers would lose their selling ability for discounting.
As Peter says, no fixed pricing here in the UK. Seems strange and uncomfortable not saying 'in the EU' anymore. The prices are not that far out from each other and you have to mix and match suppliers if you are getting a few tools as the deals are sporadic across dealers. That said I don't mind paying a little more sometimes as some dealers are better than others, Nuts & Bolts mentioned up there for instance are not always the best price but they are one of the better dealers, not to say there aren't others as well like everywhere else.Crazyraceguy said:How do you get "deals"? Yup, eye watering prices for spindle tooling, I've built up quite a lot of tooling to date (mostly CMT and Omas) but I'm going to invest in a decent Maggi-Steff power feed and do another of Peter Sefton's superb refresher courses before I start using it in anger and in full operation. I know I have bad habits and a refresher will be on the cards.Peter Parfitt said:Funny enough I sold my heavy spindle moulder and got more for the tooling than the machine. It all went on Festool kit of course.

The hose adapter is under the “New” for 2020 online and in the catalog .Crazyraceguy said:Where did you find that? I would love to get my hands on a couple of those!pettyconstruction said:New UG stand and the vacuum hose adapter .

Warren at Toolfest is one of the nicest guys you can imagine and his company is a great place to go for Festool kit as long as you have an idea what you want (as the web site is quite Spartan).
