I tried my darndest to find a deal on the UG cart and wings for the Kapex. Nothing turned up so ordered from Hartville Tool via Amazon. At least the 5% rewards offsets the sales tax. They shipped it overnight on Monday and it arrived yesterday afternoon. Can't beat that.
It's a really nice setup. I went metric figuring if I need absolute precision I'll be using metric anyway.
My tiny 12x16 shop required some late night re-arranging to shoe horn the UG cart and left wing into a spot where I could leave them setup. In the middle of all that I just stood back and thought I've got a serious addiction as I tried to cram all these expensive tools into such a small space. Before I started adding things up I decided it was best to go to bed instead. [eek]
The UG cart and wings are really nice to work with. Considering it also is very portable. But yeah, it does claim it’s square footage..
- Expensive tools in cramped space?.. your definitely not alone.. I got scared the other day about the value (as for a non professional) in my room [eek] Must update the insurance!
But, looking at dedicated machinery, Festool tools and add-ons are bargains. This calms me a bit, and I’m having a good time using it all, that’s worth a lot.
Today I got a luck I didn’t foresee, a pre-owned MFT/3 with accessories AND a VL-MFT/3 with a saw module showed up, less than 15min away from me. Picking it all up on Friday [smile]
Now my new space to come only need a pack of 2m Festool extrusions to make a very nice compact shop.
Thanks for the Turbo nozzle digging [member=44099]Cheese[/member] - I’ll see if I can get hold of an Wessel-Werk version, I can (maybe [blink]) live without the green plastic (I do have the correct RAL spray can at hand in green.. [big grin]) Funny enough, I just destroyed a Nilfisk version of the same, with a heat gun... the connecting tube was thick, solid and stubborn, the rest was not [big grin] [big grin]
