What Festool Did You buy Today?

Why do people post about their new toys on this thread, and NOT show pictures?!! 🤷🏾‍♂️

I just bought a DF700, 500, TS55, TS75, CT26, CT36, ETS etc. etc. Fact: None of them, because of no photo proof!

Agreed. People should share their toys and joy with photos, esp. when the toys are not Festool brand. [tongue]

*Homer Simpson voice* = Mmmmmm. Donuts. Vac bags. Splinter strip ........

I backordered a ETS EC 150/5 today.  Says it will ship in August but I wouldn't be surprised if it takes longer.

HK85, 420 fsk rail and extra 18t, 24t and 48t blade. First impressions are good. The blade seems to have more lateral play than my other saws but it is too soon for conclusions as I have only done a few test cuts.

Not today, last Friday I got a couple of things.
First was an edge guide for the OF1010F. I got it mostly because I found out how handy a second one was. I had two for the OF1400, back before it was destroyed. I figured that it might be better for the smaller/lighter machine, since it is more friendly on the edges of narrow material.
Then I got a second backing pad for the RAS115. It is the softer version. I thought I would try it to see how different it acts when smoothing/leveling mis-aligned surfaces?
I also wonder if (or how long) these will be available for a discontinued tool?
I also got a 2-pack of #1 Robertson bits with the Centrotec shank. We have gotten some hardware that uses this size lately, so now I can use the CSX without an adaptor and insert type bit.

One of the new cleaning sets I posted about before ; the #577258. I left my (old style) D36 hose at the other side of the country, so I bought this new set to get a new D36 hose. Because I modded my Metabo wall chaser so it would accept the D36 hose, but that mod also involved removing compatibility with the D27 hose. And wall chasing without dust extraction is definitely a no-go.

First impression; my wall chaser mod is awesome, way way less dust escaped compared to using it with the D27 hose.  [tongue]

The hose itself; awesome. It's so nice and flexible. Even when brand-new.

The new floor piece; meh. It's angle is too low, so the 3-piece tube set is simply too short for me.

The new Systainer; bad tough-locking handle, no cards on the side and it's supersized... previously this set sold in a Sys-IV (322 mm), now it's comes a Sys3 M437! The hose doesfit in a lot quicker.... It also comes without inlay but does contain a thin foam mat. Box does seem somewhat sturdier, but with the wasted space... it's hard to make a heavy stack before it becomes too high to pick up...

Not sure if I'm gonna keep the hose in that thing or let the hose be free and store my caulk in the Systainer.

Also bought a Systainer3 L137 to store my Bosch GCG 18v-310.

Also got another Festool #498527, because it's too nice to not have a spare.

I don't know if I posted this before; but now the CTL-26 also has it's new top  [big grin]

I don't keep the 36mm hose in the Systainer either, but the rest of the parts are in there.
No insert? The tubes and brushes just lay in the bottom, loose?

Euh, yes. The floorprice came with some cardboard inside a plastic bag, the rest was just kinda dumped in there. The hose was tied up in a coil parallel to the front.

This was how it looked after opening the Systainer the first time;

When I first read this, I thought OUCH!, but then read your location and did a chuckle.  It is not like you moved from Perth to Syndey Australia or Boston to San Diego, US.  but then I realized we are talking Festool fever, and we all use whatever excuse we can.  Heck, I am driving about 120 miles tomorrow to pick up a Festool rail.

Big rail? Do tell. I'm thinking about getting a 2424 holey, but they seen rather rare? I don't see to many vendors even mentioning them, probably because the are a pain to ship? I may have to just order one from the local dealer and wait for it.

Is there a reason you are looking at the 2424 versus the 1400 w/ holes?  Knowing your usage and posts here I strongly suspect you do.

I should have known better  [embarassed]

Here's the sander and sign (with sign box).  Pretty sure the sign is for the light up portion of instore displays. Was a nice surprise [big grin]

Hehe, no. And it was even the narrow side of the country. But still, I didn't have the time to pick it up. I could have let it be shipped, but now I have a 2nd hose, so this won't likely ever happen again. Plus I kinda wanted the smooth hose.

Driving 120 miles to pick up a rail... the rail must be about free at that point  [huh]

Peter

I already have a holey 1400. I got it with the TS55. The dealer where I got the first haul of replacement gear (Mueller in Cincinnati) recommended that I get the holey "Even if you don't have the need at this time" and I'm glad I listened to him.
As crazy as it may sound, there are times when the 1900 is just not enough, but the 3000 is way overkill. It happened again today. Cutting a 45 across a 61" square, the 1900 won't reach. I'm really glad I have the 3000, and it does do the job, but it is a bit much. When too much rail hangs unsupported, it bows up in the middle, taking pressure off of the grip strips. I don't see the 2700 as enough of a drop to that end and the holey is just a bonus. (though it may never get used that way)
