What Festool Did You buy Today?

I don't even know where to begin with this one.

A few days ago, I got a used RS2E. The seller has a cabin in Maine and told me about a store in Scarborough that has a ton of Festool stuff on discount and he said that they had the 118x225 papers to fit the RS2E. I was heading to Lie-Nielsen anyway, so decided to check it out. I was rocked to my core.

I've been to a lot of Festool shops and found some deals but this place was Out Of Control. Marden's is one of those stores that gets excess inventory, overruns or just stuff retailers need to get rid of - and the amount of tools here is shocking. Rolair compressors, Metabo hand tools (even an HPT track saw), Stabila, DeWalt, Makita track saw, Skil Worm Drive saw - all kinds of great looking stuff for cheap.

And then there's the Festool. The UG-CSC-SYS for the CSC SYS 50: $210. UG-KAPEX KS 120: $345. FS-PA-VL Extensions: $93. 10mm Bit for DF700: $45. CT26 Longlife Bag: $155. KS120 Crown Stops: $63. Stacks of 118x225 Rubin, Rubin 2, Brilliant 50ct for $20. Granat 100 packs: $46. Dominos in both beech and sipo - all at 40% off MSRP. D50x4M hoses for 66% Off. Utterly insane.

I ended up getting a range of Rubin, Rubin 2 and Granat for the RS2E in P50, P80, P100, P150, P240, as well as Clamping Elements for $70, and some parts for the RO150. And I think I'm going back tomorrow for some hoses. I did find a KS120 manual so I was hoping there might be a KS120 floating around for 40% off, but I only found the Kapex Clamp.

Scarborough is just south of Maine and it doesn't look like many people know they've got a ton of Festool (like an OF2200 Accessory kit or TS55EQ or Clamping Set - all for 40% Off. So, if you're in the area, they tell me they are expecting more, it's going to be worth the trip.
My wife’s family has homes on Prout’s neck right across Scarborough bay. Been to Marden’s many times as my in laws are friends with the owners. They have at least 10 stores across Maine that are just like that. Packed to the gills and anxiety inducing when you think about doing inventory. Really nice local business/owners if you get the chance to go there.
Fun fact- Rodger Godell has one of the biggest homes at Prout’s and when Tom Brady was starting to go through his divorce, he came there by boat to stay there and clear his head 😂😂😂.

Think you should have kept this a secret - at least till you went broke. :ROFLMAO:

Anxiety inducing indeed. I was pretty much having convulsions when I was there this morning! New, in box 1400 rails for $98, eccentric chuck for $58, DF500 for $750, HKC55 for $265. I don’t have enough money!!!

So, I did go back today because I wanted to pick up the D50x4M ($79.90) and D36x5M ($123) hoses, the CT33 filter bags ($28.80) and the SE-HL ($119) for the HL850, as I kinda hemmed and hawed on those yesterday when the staffer told me they still had more that hadn't been put out.

I went there not too long after opening yesterday and was there about the same time today - and they dropped an incredible load: HKC55, DF500, DF700, RTS400, RTSC400, Rails, accessories and more. Again, it's a liquidation store called Marden's in Scarborough, Maine - just south of Portland. If you can get there anytime soon, I think you'll find it to your liking. And there's so much more than Festool - Makita chain saws, Makita track saws, Rikon 10" bandsaw, Rikon lathe - it's just overwhelming.

The prices in the pics are their selling price - and that price does not reflect the 40% Off discount. What’s in the pics is just a sampling.

I have 2 Festool tools, Jig saw and an unused Vecturo EQ400. While I love the Jig Saw, very disappointed that my 400 is basically out of date and cannot use all the variations of the Max blades. Instead of upgrading to a new vecturo, I bought a Fein instead.

They kind of abandoned the corded version, when the cordless came out. It didn't get the updates, so was not compatible with later attachments.

I recently ordered a Trion PS300 as I always wanted to possess a Festool jigsaw and was fed up by the crooked cuts my old jigsaw produces. Three years ago, I thought about buying the corded Carvex, but somehow did not. As a friend of mine is going to need some help with a kitchen, the jigsaw came to my mind again, but Festool now only sells the cordless Carvex.. However, I prefer corded tools and I always bring my Midi to a job, which made me buy the Trion (especially after reading through some of your posts :) ) The tool seems to be very robust, especially to the old Milwaukee jigsaw, I have used until now. I am lookig foward to setting up the kitchen :)

Thanks for the good advices, which can be found all over the Festoolownersgroup!!!
