FWIW...I originally owned a Milwaukee 6266-22 jigsaw and it seemed fine until I purchased a Trion. What a huge difference, everything on the Festool worked better and felt better. The ONLY similarity between the two is that they both used T-shank blades. That Trion is a keeper.

I recently ordered a Trion PS300 as I always wanted to possess a Festool jigsaw and was fed up by the crooked cuts my old jigsaw produces. Three years ago, I thought about buying the corded Carvex, but somehow did not. As a friend of mine is going to need some help with a kitchen, the jigsaw came to my mind again, but Festool now only sells the cordless Carvex.. I borrowed a friends PSB400 corded D-handle Carvex and while I liked the strobe light, the trigger was cantankerous and wouldn’t start at times, then the dust tube kept falling out. I didn’t get to use it enough to hate it for the wobbly blade others complained about. I hated it for those two things.

I also got the Trion instead. Very happy with it - just wish they would update it a bit. A light would be a plus.

Well after 2 months, some facebook messenger chats and videos, a couple of calls, a japanese holiday, and $2500 AUD i now actually own an almost brand new Vac Sys SE 1 - finally
The person who i got it from, said he pretty much purchased all the stock from a business that closed down in SA or Vic ( cant remember) and shipped it all to Tasmania.

The unit was apparently a display item in the shop, so it is missing the Classic systainer for the head end and pedal, no bid deal.
The pump runs at -9bar, my ebay special is lucky to hit -6, and was made back in 2014!

Now to get the range of heads for it, and work out where its going to live and be used in my shed, i pretty much drilled every single hole on my mft work bench so there is no flat space for the suction base to be used........
When i moved it to the side bench in the second pic, it was not coming off anytime soon under vacuum.

Oh, and 'i forgot' and will probably keep forgetting to mention this to my wife.. she may react slightly in way that will be unfavorable to my health

@Crispy Well done mate! I had the opportunity to buy a set a while back and passed as I didn't realise how useful the set is. Regretted it ever since, although now I'll probably make do with machining my own suction pads when I have time!

Unless of course a set comes up at a good price!

LMT, im glad you suggested posting on wwforums, because of that i also found a couple of festool pages in facebook, surprisingly the aust festool buy swap sell is the one that came through, so thanks!
As i thought i was not going to get one, i started getting parts to frankenstien a setup, so i now have a few spare parts....
The original hoses are surprisingly pretty short , but i have 2 of the 5m Festool hose kits that i will end up using, so i may play with that over christmas

Im looking at amazon dot com for the VT accessory set, but i should 'order soon' as there is only 19 left....... :/
It will cost probably a little more than individually buying all 3 extra pads in aus after freight, but will they at least will have a systainer to ive in.

PS, I just found a Festool Australia Brochure asking me if i am ( was) ready for the future , introducing the Vac sys and all its parts from 2006.....i didnt realise that the vac sys was that old

FWIW...I made a pair of flat stainless sheets with 20mm aluminum dogs attached to secure both of my vacuum bases to the workbench. The stainless is maybe 16 gauge thick so when a vacuum is drawn, the stainless does move slightly which then secures each aluminum dog in the dog holes tighter...in other words, the stainless sheet moves which also moves the dogs and the dogs then grip the table.
The last 2 photos show the stainless plate in the normal direction on the bench and then turned 90º.

Went by that same Restore where I found the Systainer and SYS-AZ drawers thinking that they wouldn’t have anything. But there were a couple SYS RAIL packs for $20 and a bunch of MFT connectors for $10. Had a couple connectods In hand then thought: “Why? I don’t even have one MFT!”

The connectors are still there: ReStore Columbia, Maryland.

While not technically “Festool”, I found this 106”/2700mm Milwaukee Rail at my local ReStore for $125. Google’s A.I. assured me that the rail is compatible with the TS55, so I guess we’re gonna find out! However, I don’t really have any projects that require the cutting of a sheet good.

Now, I just have to figure out where it can live in my cluttered garage!

@Cheese after seeing your pictures, i did a bit of you-tubing ( well, sedgetools ) and made a modfied version of his.
I had ordered some longer dogs (40mm i think) a while back for a vacuum pod idea that i didnt like, and the T track items that fit the rail i had from a couple of years ago that i had not used at all.
This allows me to use it anywhere on the top of my bench, or the rails on the side.
I did have to reset my Rail brackets to make sure the new base fit and i can still access the systainers on the side , so yaa me

I ordered the VT sort kit from A mazon US, saved like $50 at the end of the day over buying them all individually here, and got a free systainer with insert.... thats when im telling myself
Stackry are a little BS on the way they portray the freight by using their 'calculator', just when you actually go to pay, the same weight and size now costs and extra $50, and then they hit you with GST on top of everything ( ^%$# Gerry Harvey, poor rich Australian. Google his name and GST if your bored one day) followed by what i assume is a %1 credit card charge after you click paynow, bah humbug!

Oh, and I ordered some prevost fittings too, so i can setup disconect points on both hoses.
G 3/8 threadded euro fittings for the base and pedal, a euro hose barb for under the vac pad and thought id try the prevost euro quick release fitting on an end, as im one short for doing both ends of both hoses and its not close to $200aud.
Worst case i still need to order a festool Val fitting, worst worse case is my wife walks into my shed and then has questions
