As the title says, what is the thing/system on the MFT that allows you to lift up the track to cut sheet goods?  Also, are there any good videos out that that show this thing in detail?  Thanks.

The track attaches to a hinge at the back of the table. The hinge can be adjusted up or down the fit the thickness of the wood. At the front of the table is a vertically adjustable support that fits into the track to minimize left or right movement.

Peter Parfit has some good videos as does Halfinchshy.

On YouTube, search on “mft track”. Several good videos.

There is a gadget called a SlopStop. It does a great job of eliminating any left right movement of the track. It is inexpensive and really works.

There is a trick in using the track saw. Try to push the saw in a straight line along the track. If you push the saw left or right, you can get a bad cut. This trick also applies to the Festool Kapex miter saw.

I did see on one of the videos mention of the SlopStop.  I actually have a Makita track saw that I have been using for several years now.  I just recently saw the hinge thing on a video and thought it was a really cool idea, but they did not really give any info on it so I came here searching.
