Got that overseas and the bits are amazing. Haven't cut yet but the quality looks excellent. Just got the mft fences dialed in to my squares.

Enjoy your new tools!  That is an awesome set-up...love Festool router bits too -- I was fortunate enough to grab a bunch of them while they still had a few for sale and they are extremely well made...wish Festool carried them again.  That set is a great collection of some of the most used bits for sure.

Enjoy your new tools!  That is an awesome set-up...love Festool router bits too -- I was fortunate enough to grab a bunch of them while they still had a few for sale and they are extremely well made...wish Festool carried them again.  That set is a great collection of some of the most used bits for sure.

I just plowed a few dados with those bits. All I have to say is one big huge Joey Lawrence-style WHOA!! Like butter, pure butter...I will say with those 8mm bits this little 1010 is a force to be reckoned with. Glad I didn't get the 1400, I will save that for when (waaay down the road) I get my VL to add to the MFT.  [wink]

So far I am liking this combination and it's capabilities. Can't wait for the TS saw. Domino is now a must-have. This is just awful..Kill me now.

First thing I noticed was the working height, love it. Overall it's a game changer for me, going to enable me to rout like mad-man!! It's still in my living room like a shrine. I am thinking of leaving it there until the wife is willing to broker a deal to move her CRAP out of my workshop area.

My garage is carpeted - my wife often comes out with a coffee or a snack for me while I'm sitting on the floor with a few systainers open playing with the pieces like a 5 year old ... it must be so common place to her now that it doesn't even put a bump in the conversation.

It is the perfect height.  If you have not already, highly recommend the cross members -- makes the table much more rigid IMHO.  Also, clamping elements really help with routing, especially on edge.  This addiction is hard to stop...soon as you get something and think you are done you start wanting the next thing...

Haha! Same here, she came home last night to me sitting here with an empty systainer while I was working on a pattern to cut foam inserts. Asked what I was doing, I explained and without another word she went on with other things. There is no hope for understanding us!
