What size systainers do you use most?

To answer this, I am discounting the ones that Festool tools come in because that would be directly related to which tools I use the most.

So, limiting the answer to systainers that I have adapted to other uses, the answer are the Systainer 2s.  Very close behind are my Systainer 1s.

This is tough....because i have "stuff" put into systainers which i grab for alot. But i also have sys 1's that are for screws and such.  Its really a toss up for me between 1 & 3

Good methodology Frank, to exclude the actual tool Systainers.

I am going to include Systainers which hold accessories, etc.  i.e. I have 3 of the screw organizers in Sys 1s.  Several of the sandpaper holders (mostly 1s).  And the Domino organizer in a Sys 2.

But aside from those, I use a lot of 2's and 3's for misc. odds and ends and non-Festool tools and other goodies and sundries.
... I also use a lot of Sys Minis.  I think I have 8.

I find the sys1's a bit on the small side for most things, but like anything else it depends what you're going to put in it. If I had to choose only one size, it would probably be the sys3.

I take all tools out of their systainer and toss them on the great big heap. Then when I need to take my tools somewhere I toss everything I need in a sys 4 and a couple of sys 3's or a sys 5.

So sys 4 is my most used systainer, followed by sys 3 and sys 5.

I have little use for sys 1 and 2's. Only my T15 with all it accessories and bits is in a sys 1 I take everywhere.

PS, when I say great big heap, it's not really a heap but a tool cabinet and a couple of shelfs.

I think the real answer is "all sizes" depending on the user.  Personally I have found the most useful size , by a small margin, to be Sys - III.  That  is excluding Festool tools.

Probably. But the problem is, I don't have a car. So I have to travel light, can't take too much stuff with me. I just take what I need.  

But to be honest, I think I'm still organised. I mean, I can find what I need when I need it, so no problem there.

Probably. But the problem is, I don't have a car. So I have to travel light, can't take too much stuff with me. I just take what I need.

Iam a home remodeling contractor. I just discovered systainers but I find the classics too small for most of my tools. I have started re-organizing my tools and I find the midi 3 works for most of my tools. I am hoping tanos makes more sizes of midi, possibly a sortainer midi t- lock.

I'm quite fond of my four Sys1s with the internal boxes for screws and a good second are Sys2's though I do prefer the Sys2/3 with lid storage preferable over plain systainers.

Got my first midi at the autumn sale @ Tooltechnic with my sys-mft & sys-toolbox so we'll see if I can fit my router & MFS stuff in it nicely. It might become my new favorite size since I find the standard systainer a bit short for many non-Festools with permanently attached powercords.

I just got a #3 sortainer (6 drawer) and my first midi (#3).  The sortainer holds all my small fasteners and shelf pins, etc, and i'm now able to convert a sys 1 that I got from McFeely's with a screw assortment to hold hand tools (most of the ones I need seem able to fit nicely).  Currently, the midi has my Bosch jigsaw, extension cord, sys light, and a few other misc do-dads.  I also like the #1 sys toolbox that sits on top of a stack and holds anything and everything that ends up floating around the job-site.  I still need a box that will hold spray cans like 3M adhesive and glue bottles upright which is a sys 4 I guess.  I love the sortainer but I see a bunch more sys 4's and midi's in my future.

When we did the Fogtainers the most popular was a Sys2, followed by a Sys1, then 3 and then 4.

I'd have to say my most commonly sized systainer is a 2. Sys 1's are great for the colored boxes & screws, etc but I would say Sys 2 & 3 are better suited for misc storage.
