What's your weight loss goal for 2015?

Anybody making any progress?  I've lost 8 pounds so far and about 20 to go.  Nothing special to do it.  Lay off the bread (my downfall usually) and the sweets.  Just trying to be sensible about it.  A few pair of pants are starting to fit again... sort of.

No weight loss program here.......wife said I can't pound a stake with a tack hammer.  ???

Now that the festive season and the Australia Day weekend are behind me I'll start down the weight reduction journey. No point in giving up eating in eating season [smile]

This time I'm going to do it gentle and conservative (hard when I lack the moderation gene!)

Wish me luck.

This was a great vid.  I also have enjoyed running, but more like sprinting.  Never enjoyed the long distance stuff.  you should be (and it is very apparent that you are) very proud of your accomplishments, not only for your improved conditioning, but such improvements in your times.  You don't mention (or I missed it) your age, but your visible conditions is quite impressive.
keep up the good work.

Thanks Tinker for your kind words!  I'm 42 years old.

This wasn't a new years resolution for me but I have been wanting to pull the trigger for a while on dropping 30-40 lbs.  My feet are bothering me... my arches that is.  Tried to diet but its not working for me atm, starting on the 8th I have a medically supervised weight loss program I am starting at UCI.  I did it before, 8 yrs ago, works like a champ.  I have my blood work and some other testing this morning...required for this program.  Switching my primary doctor also, getting a 2nd opinion on my feet issues.  I use to just run to manage my weight, but with my feet issues that has been impossible for the last 13 months.

An update to my first post above. I have been in the HMR program now for 3.5 weeks and I am down 16.5 lbs, I am now 190.5lbs.  My goal weight is 175 so that's about 4-5 more weeks losing 3-4 lbs a week based on my current loss.    My foot issues are gone, didn't need the referral to the podiatrist or the xray.

I think the HMR program is 3 months so I still have a ways to go.  After three months I move to phase 2, which is going to be more about maintenance and staying at my goal weight.  My calorie intact is just about 1000 daily, some times a bit less but never more than 1000,  it was difficult at first but now is sort of routine. I literally eat every three hours.  I am in the class with 3 other friends, each of us are having similar results.

My reward will be a domino.

Want to maintain and improve upon the I have done over last five years. Put together a video of my weight loss journey.

I was so impressed by what you showed here that I bought a pair of those shoes, but version 2.0. They were about $61 and have since gone down closer to $50 and I ordered a second pair.

My wife runs marathons and I ordered her a similar pair at her request. We'll see if it makes her faster?

They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. I have two screwed up feet, two screwed up ankles, and one screwed up knee. I was the second fastest kid in school for a long time. That darned Ruskin guy could always beat me...

Thank you!

Tom

Well, one month in and I'm down 10 lbs toward my 40 lb goal.  A good start for me- main change to this point was cutting out the unhealthy snacks and portion control on the meals.  Will have to get more aggressive on the exercise as time goes on.  I used my Planex for the first time yesterday- using it on ceilings is a good workout so that may help!  [big grin]

Hope you all are seeing the results you wanted so far.

Regards,
Gerald

I never gain weight. My only problem has been that my dear wife shrinks my pants every winter.  [unsure]

I haven't been able to be active lately, so my weight hasn't changed much. I'm hoping that changes soon.

I just (on Friday) got some abrasives for my Planex and am looking forward to using it on my entryway walls. If I find that a I can do things OK, I may just have to move to the ceiling next...and maybe THAT will get me moving on my goal!

Hey Everyone!

I've been lurking around the FOG for several months collecting data and ideas about my impending Festool purchases.  Mostly what to get next and how to solve particular issues.  Most of my purchases are funded by my side job which is a Transformation Specialist.  I help people get healthy.

Would any of you consider losing 10 lbs if it meant helping a kid regain their health?  I have a program that donates 90 healthy meals to a children's charity of the losers choice for every 10 lbs lost.  For as little as $4/day, I can help you reach your health goals.

Please visit my website, www.healthyfitandfree.com, for information about the program.

If, after visiting, you are interested in getting started or you need more information, please email or message me.  I'm here to help you!

This isn't spam as I, too, am a fellow Festool junkie.  I just happen to also have a passion for helping people get healthy.

My personal goal is to be weighable in two digits this year... 18kg to go... :-)

That's a great goal. I think I could get there soon...

As long as we're measuring in metric tons!

So far so good, pretty happy with the program I joined...down 26lbs now. Started at 207 and weighed in Thursday at 181.  Another week and I will be at my "just out of boot camp weight" of 178 back in 1988.  My goal weight was 175 but I am going to reduce it to 170. I feel a ton better and my foot problems for 14 months are gone.  The only thing the podiatrist said that worked was to lose some weight.

I also enjoyed watching sumantamandal's vid, thanks for posting it.

2.5 weeks left in my HMR program.

Last weigh in i was 172, clothed.  I will be finishing the last couple of weeks of the program and where my weight ends is where i will stop. I am committed to continuing until the full 3 months is up on April 1.  It is looking to be more like 165-168 by the time i am done.  Less than my goal, but now i am under my original goal of 175, i feel like i could lose 5 to 10 more which is why i am finishing off the full 3 months of the program.

I am quite happy with the results, i look forward the phase 2 of the program which is 4 weeks.  Sounds like a transitioning type program going back to regular / solid food.  I do believe there is a phase 3 also, called maintenance.

Congrats to everyone for working towards and ultimately achieving your goals!

Peter
