Who can benefit from an ex festool employee?

I did not specify my location because I am willing to relocate.

Members here are all over the US, Canada, EU, Australia and more. Were you in sales, engineering, manufacturing, service, shipping, janitor? A few details could go a long way.

As a Festool employee, I can't comment one way or the other on this. I'd ask that everybody just be kind and assume the best from people.

In case you're wondering, yes, I'm aware of this. As a Festool employee, I can't comment one way or the other on. I'd ask that everybody just be kind and assume the best from people.

Sales

I am a festool user. I love the product! The product has nothing to do with the reason I'm no longer an employee! Im not here to make enemies, so if you aren't replying to my message to help then don't bother replying!!!

Brett, I think you need to be a little more specific if you actually want help from people.  So far in all of these threads, we know you worked at festool, would relocate, and was in sales.  Tell us what you want to do, what skills you have, etc, then maybe someone could point you in a direction.  Otherwise in my opinion it sounds more like you are bitter you were let go.  I have been out of work for awhile, and it is frustrating, so obviously I have nothing to offer you, but if I was looking for someone that had an opportunity it would be hard to take you seriously without more info.

Best of luck

Good luck with your next position in life brett07. Not sure if you were or weren't a former employee. The way you came into this forum 9 posts and 4 hours ago was very strange to say the least. We have had all sorts of spam on this forum over the years so best to be a little suspicious. Again, best to you.

Cheers. Bryan.

Well then do yourself and us a favor and please explain your presence.
What are you looking for?
What do you want to secure?
Are you looking for a position with a new company?
Please understand, that we know nothing about you and you just blew in from wherever and now want to offer inside information. Please understand our position and we will understand yours.

Brett07:
I'm truly sorry for your separation from Festool, and I feel that it's certainly none of my business to know the details. But with all due respect, it's uncertain as to whether the question: "Who can benefit from an ex festool employee?" can elicit an informed response based on the lack of info and current back and forth that is taking place, and is sure to continue given small amounts of info in the reponses.

For me, I can benefit from anyone (Festool employee or not) who is willing to guide, teach, mentor, create or help others improve their craft. I welcome that, again, from anyone.

I would like to pose a question to the moderators: Does the FOG have a Mission Statement, and if so, what is it? Does a post such as this support that Mission Statement?

Brett07 - please stay engaged as an active, productive, objective and informative member of the FOG to help others improve their skills and enjoyment of woodworking.

To answer your question Brett, I would think any Festool retailer for one.

Another potentially would be a competitor brand.  Mafell comes to mind.

Any company that sells fringe 3rd party Festool accessories ie;  Betterly, Seneca, etc...  Not sure if there would be anything there, but with your insight and contacts, there may be a fit there.

Were you just in sales, or were you involved in the marketing side that could be an asset to someone else?

Oh!  Here's one that comes to mind....Mirka.  There's another company like Festool in many respects that needs to be sold due to its pricing challenges.  Like Festool, Mirka can save you time and money with their products.  People just need to be explained how and why.

Then I would respectfully suggest your next 'job' is to sell yourself to a prospective employer. And in that regards, from my perspective at least this thread unfortunately isn't accomplishing that well for you here if you're seriously seeking employment from it. This is simply some honest feedback from someone who hopes things work out.

I did not specify my location because I am willing to relocate. I am still a fan of the festool product not some of the employees but the product for sure. I worked next to [member=57769]TylerC[/member] for over a year and I know that is not his department! Thanks for trying though peter. The Pro5  up is on whoever predicts sales in the US. A five year old could have predicted the pro 5 sale better then what it was!!!! No one learned from the kapex sales and that was only 10% off!!!

Rather than insult your former employer on their own site, you'd have much better luck putting together a professional resume and posting that with an articulate and positive attitude giving some details on what exactly you are looking for and the situation resulting in you looking for new employment.

I suspect at this point though you have blown any chance of gaining employment from anyone in this community.

Brett,
I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and give you some suggestions,
You can wor for a festool retailer
You can hold private classes at festool retailers instructing folks on how to build different projects
You can freelance and help people set up and learn how to properly set up and operate and use the tools they are not familiar with.
You can free lance repair of people's tools who are out of warranty or who do not want to wait to send the tool to service get it repaired and sent back.
You can get a job with their competitors as you know sales and the inside and out of the festools you should be able to accurately describe the benefits of xxx brand of tools
You have options.

I will also give advice and say that if I were a potential employer I would be extremely hesitant about hiring someone who would threaten to share inside information after their employment with me ended...
