This new item goes on your vacuum hose, one about every 2 feet, and is there to quickly grab and hold your cord along with your hose while using it.  An easy pull and you can remove the cord for storage.

When not holding a cord in place they are not even noticed.  Free to use just the hose!

I know this may not apply to shop people who never move things.  This applies to us in the field constantly changing things and want them to always be where we need them, and for them to be very easy.  Here's the solution.

Please reply with a "yes" if this is something you would buy... This may lead to you being able to...  Thank you all so much![attachimg=1]View attachment 2

You don't mention where you are from, but I can tell you this type of clip is already available for sale or for 3D printing. Judging from sales and downloads, it is something people are interested in.

Prefer the hose wrap with the Plug It cord inside it and the ends shrink wrapped method myself.

I, too, have the hose wrap solution which, apart from being economical, prevents the hose from catching the edge of a surface (bench, e.g.).

The idea here is to quickly attach and remove cord when needed. I.e. your every hose is not semi-permanently attached to a cord.

BINGO!!!    Isn't that how we want it?!?!?  Like all the other festool stuff.....
Buy a $500-600 vacuum and put velcro and shrink wrap on it.... ya kidding?

But the point is, they're already available.

And unlike your graphical representation, the whole thing clips on and off the hose. For example;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Feskit-fe...-Cable-Hose-Wire-Tidy-Clips-X-8-/322498168911

yea, those are.. cheap looking.  and means they will pop off and get lost.  if you don't see that coming... well then. those look like hard plastic too, would scratch stuff I work on.

I just want a QUALITY product like my festool stuff to control this floppy cord.  Is that really so hard to ask?

Nah, I like the cord permanently attached to the hose. Ive got the thicker gauge cord attached to a 27mm and 36mm hose, so which ever I need to use for a given tool I unroll it and its good to go. Wouldnt want to deal with clipping and unclipping little plastic brackets each time I want to use a tool. I can just see those things breaking in half or getting lost. Seems like a hassle to me.

[huh]

Have you tried them?

Look - not something I'd use myself, but if you want to make some and sell then, feel free. Always good to have alternatives. Just don't bad mouth the "competition" if you haven't tried them. That's not good business practice.

I think we forget it's a vacuum.  Who wants to have that cord when vacuuming?  We use the festool vac for everything because of its quality - quietness, hepa, portable, long hose... Using a tool with it is actually a minority of the time for us.  I think this is the case for most construction/builders people working in people's homes.

I have had these on my vac for months now with no problems, only ease!

just want to help my friends because my friends want them!

Huh, interesting. I ONLY use my CT vac with my Festool tools. I have a cheap Shop-Vac if I want to vacuum random dirt.

This blows my mind!!!!!!!!    DUDE!!! vacuuming with a festool vac is the BEST!!!! its better than using it with a tool.  Do you know  how many housewives have been amazed by my midi?  It takes away from my work.

Up your game and only use HEPA in someones house!

FYI My shop vac has a hepa, doesn't make it any quieter though.

About the clips, not something I'd buy, YMMV

I mostly use my vacuum with a tool on it but I do use it for site cleanup and it shines there too!  I think I would rather have the cord in a wrap myself instead of clips, it seems like they would tend to catch on the track and MFT edges, but maybe not!
While I do enjoy most of my Festool purchases, I am beginning to resent more and more paying top dollar for Festool only to have to turn around and spend more money to make it "right" or better like your item and several others. For what we pay, it should have a wrap AND clips as an option for the customer to use or not at their own discretion!

Whoa - [member=64965]dsh13[/member]  [huh]

First, welcome to the FOG.

2nd, what makes you think your clip is so special ?  Because you like it ?  Is it made of some sort of special super plastic that's both durable, flexible and expensive looking without costing a fortune ?

While you may think the clip staying on the hose is an advantage, many will not.  You've come to a forum that has a pretty smart and affluent crowd that isn't easy to please.  They also have a lot of experience using Festool , and can tell you what works and what doesn't. And they will.

If you're getting flustered because of criticism of your potential product from a bunch of strangers , you are probably in the wrong business.  Antagonizing potential customers generally isn't a winning formula either.

You should go read the TSO thread and glean some info on how to bring a product to market and use criticism as a positive step forward  :http://festoolownersgroup.com/festool-sales-dealer-area/tso-mtr-18/

Fein has had a better solution in my view and has for over twenty years.https://fein.com/en_us/accessories/general-accessories/cable-holder-order-no-3-13-45-119-01-0/

p.s. - I won't buy these , sorry.
