Will the festool Gecko set hold a 55" rail vertically on a painted wall?

Hey everyone, have a job coming up that that will require me to use a guide rail vertically on a wall beside some doors. Now I was just going to put some screws through the holes on the top and bottom of the rails to hold them in place for the small amount of routing i will be doing at each door. However I saw the gecko set and am wondering if anyone has experience with them on painted walls.

The rapid clamp will not work for what I am doing.

I believe it will depend on the paint. Purchase a suction cup and try it on the wall in question. If it holds the Gecko will hold.
