Win £5,000 of Festool Tools

Sometimes participating here is frustrating. Singing is my thing, I practice many hours a day. Often while I'm busy using my Festools. But I'm not a UK resident so I can't enter. These tools would have been mine as I would have totally bagged this contest. Bohemian Rhapsody is on the list and I've practiced it a million times already. Don't stop me now also, like another gazillion Queen songs. Sigh.

It is getting discouraging now after 7 years being one of the most participating members but always see other people grab the goodies and never get a shot at anything. I remember when I first joined in 2008 we had a contest every month and it didn't matter from which country you were. But since Festool took over that idea became a thing of the past, just like the FOG contests. Funny how a private person like this forum's founder Matthew Schenker made a lot more effort than a multinational can.

The contest is a very nice idea, and I can see how Festool would want to promote their new radio with a musical happening. Too bad the real Festooling musician is shut out by your rules.

Meh, at least I could download a backing track of Bohemian Rhapsody, never had that before. That's going to be fun to sing along.

A singing [member=5277]Alex[/member] ... now there's a twist [scared]

I for one wood chip in (sorry, "would", but I can't help myself) to see this!!! Not something I would ever have expected and I'm now extremely curious.

Why don't we all lobby to have Festool support extending this competition to Europe and specifically to the Netherlands? C'mon - we're the FOG, we can achieve anything. After all, We Are the Champions - that's a personal request Alex [wink] [big grin]

Well I wish everyone the very best of luck.

Here are some chaps at having a good sing-along at their job site !!

[member=5277]Alex[/member] , I hope you take Phil up on his offer.  As I wrote earlier, this will be interesting.  Now if this contest type came to North America I can see [member=912]honeydokreg[/member] doing Free Bird with gusto.

Every song on Never Mind The Bollocks is a masterpiece, but my favourite is God Save The Queen.

Do I win a squeezy ball with Festool wrote on it for suggesting 12 better songs?

Or is this competition just a load of

I like Pretty Vacant, bunch of raggedy guys holding festools singing were so pretty , I'm so pretty........

As far as the Sysrock is concerned I think "I started a joke" by the Bee Gees would be appropriate.

What's coming in 2016? A new Festool food processor and a cooking competition [eek]

.....or 'Don't stop me now' by Queen......and get the entries in  [wink]

2016 additions to the line up are being planned.........it will not included a Food Processor but I have been known to use the PDC to whisk up some eggs before now.

To much to young - The Specials is another possibility for me.....but not allowed to enter  [sad]

Are people expected to sing the whole song? that's gonna be boring to watch.

I must admit I prefer the US video contests, where people can actually make an interesting/watchable video for submission. [sad]

Hi
Good question but I guess a few lines can be whacked out.......an its a tune  [blink]

Minimum of one minute according to some of the clarifications on Twitter. Can also be a "group" entry - wonder if the FOG qualifies so long as someone from the UK actually submits the video?

Maybe we can get a UK FOG choir together lol

Hi
How about 'Festool Flash Choir'......we could do this at the next exhibition in Birmingham KBB - any takers?  [eek]. Watch this through to the end - shows what music can do  [smile]
