Workshop project help needed

Ive purchased the Numatic NVD750 Workshop Vacuum Extractor from Axminster which is great but the mitre saw seems to through the dust airborn.

that saw looks like adewalt 718
i have that saw. the dc is pathetic, maybe 1%if your lucky.
the part below where the sliding rails are is too wide adn all te dust hits it and bounces back.
it is a the bain of my life that saw
if i could sell it for any decent amount i would but i cant .
even tody i was trying out a few ideas. i have a big box behind the saw anyway so i put a 6" dc hose to the bottom of the box.
no good the dust cant get to it with all that metal in the way
i tried a flat piece above the hole to spread out the sucktion, no good . it was too far away
i also put hardboard piece on the fence that stick up about a foot to try to stop the dust coming all the way out after it hit the saw

i clamped the 6" dc hose behind the fence . it works ok , maybe 50-70 %of the dust on some cuts. if i have a 6" on both sides i might work

i will look into that atachment . there is no dc port on my saw thow (there is a tiny excuse for one )

Your right I do have the 718 I've had it for years I hate the thing, I bought it when I was working for Barrett homes where I was first fixing every day and it didn't matter if it wasn't supper accurate or threw dust everywhere but the last few years I've been manufacturing the campers I've noticed how inaccurate it is and how poorly designed the extraction exit has been designed. I would love to just go out and buy the kapex but I just haven't got the funds at present.

im going to have to buy something to solve the dust problem.
it is easily the worst tool i have for dust
im thinking radial arm saw  butthat would cost more that a kapex and ug stand. im unsure

Hi Philip, do you know Vanworx in Weymouth. They bought my old one owner 40,000 miler T4 and converted it.

They did the works looked really good.

Alan, I have a radial arm saw in my workshop & it is the most difficult machine to get the dust away from.  I wouldn't be without it though.

you mustnt have used a dw718 so. that is insane to extract from. my 5000m3 extracter pulling a 6"hose rigth beside the blade cant do it

there is a video on you tube of a guy with a mod done to his
he cut a slot the whole way through the table and put a box under it adn built a fence with a really low bearing surface and a dc slot above it. it looks great.
i will try to find it
