Yes but speaking to him on the phone he is very particular!  He sent me the drawing and a schedule. It had everything seperated! I dont think he wants to leave things.

Example Fit stairs ground to first floor:

fit hand rail     £
fit spindles      £

Then First floor:
fit mule post to ground floor stairs    £
hand rail   £
spindles    £
fit half mule post   £
fit nosing    £
fit fascia.    £
Thats just the one flight of stairs.

He had it like that on a spread sheet format wanted a price for every bit!  Well I bundled it up and gave one price for them stairs. He done that for the entire job

I dont know why he split everything up like that I could clearly see on the drawing how and what the stairs where like

Apparently the other joiners A. Priced his first and second fix and B. Priced his on every floor (3 floors) he said he preferred mine as
I priced mine similar to how he wanted but I put the in bundles Stairs, Doors, Skirt etc.

Yeah a while ago 2010 says on my first post.

Was going to build it then but I had my house to do and I ended up getting work and left it. 

but now my Misses wants to get Married and live together and will likely want a kid not long after!  I am thinking I gotta do it now!  or it will never be done and ill be stuck and all my money will be going else where!  So im quickly spending it all before she gets her hands on it basically haaahaa! 

only joking!    but I am trying to expand cus cant keep up with the work and I want to employ some one and expand, at the moment I am little scared to do this but with a decent workshop I will be more confident in employing someone one as ill have  two types of work I can do Site work AND workshop work being able to do both I should have more work available to justify employing some one.

Got CNC coming and hope that will help aswell as being like a second part of the workshop type of work.

make sure you insulate the heck out of the floor or you will have to hear the likes of rylan singing every saturday night.
id love a cnc in the shop. it is amazing what you can do with one.
is it a 3 axis or more, matrix table or pods, what program does it use.

whats up with the 45 degree undergound part with the walls returned in. are they storage for sheets or cabinets

For sound proofing use GreenGlue. Great for stopping the low frequency noises. The green Glue web site has a lot of good how too information Green Glue Website

Well what I am planning on doing with the floor is block and Beam and screed it  and then I ill stick floor joists in above the block and beam floor  100mm off  to allow waist pipe and cables etc.   This would then be pumped with loose insulation.   Down stairs in the workshop depending if I can still hear the noise I will do a suspended ceiling filled with insulation and batten the walls and ply-line it all and insulation .   I think that should cover the sound traveling upstairs.    The work shop is not having any windows only 2 doors back door and the garage doors you can see at the front.  

The 45 thing in the first picture I did was just an idea to use the awkward corner to store sheets but not sure what do do now it was that long ago.    I am not going to plan my workshop out un till its built so I can see what space I have as its difficult to get an idea of what I have available to me.

ITs only a 3 axis flat bed CNC.   Well I know I am defiantly creating a complete separate room to store the CNC and pump  because I went up scotland this Saturday gone to have a look at the CNC Im getting and its very loud!!  and if I got that thing running all the time it would do my head in so it would have to be sound proofed in its own room.

Yeah thats loud but the Vacuum pump is also very very loud as well.    When he started the vacuum pump up I was like OMG that thing is loud straight away.  You cant tlk to any one as its that loud.
