Matthew,

You need more categories!  ;D

1. I am addicted and need more help (or money).

2. I have almost as many Festools as Jerry Work.

3. There is less than 2 that I don't have.

Do "accessories" like the LR32 system count?  For $369 + $66 for the rail, I think it should...  Same with the MFS.

MFT
CT33
OF1400
TS55
RO150E
PS300

*coming soon*
Domino

*wish list*
C12 kit with accessory chucks.  I have to wait until my DeWalt dies before I can justify it...

I currently have two.  However, I have a TS55/MFT that's due this week.  A Domino will arrive when released so does that make 5 or should I stay in the 2 or more for now?  ;D

Let's see, in three months I've collected:
TS-55
RO 150 FEQ
CT-22
MFT 1080

Not a bad start!  Money allotted for the Domino.  Planning on OF 1400 plus accessories by Summer.
Played with the smaller cordless drill today.  It's now on the list...  Better make some more sales!

Hello...my name is Rob...and I'm a Festoolaholic

Its been 2 weeks since my last Festool purchase... ;D

Its hard to choose which tool next...

Once ya start...you know your gonna get them all...eventually :D

Hello, My name is Ted and yes I am a toolaholic. I have been into getting splinters before I could walk. I started out on job sites with my dad framing homes when I was a fine little gopher of 9 years old, you know, "go for this, go for that". Stated finish work when I was about 19 and been into that as a side job for the last 23 years.

I just made my first Festool purchase with Bob Marino 2 minutes ago and who I saw as a member at Sawmill Creek and Per Swenson just told me to make a post here.

I need a "tool buying intervention"...

I need a "tool buying intervention"...

Welcome!

Sorry, but the intervention you're likely to get around here might sound vaguely like a suggestion for additional tools!

Which tools did you purchase?  What are your project plans?  What was it about Festool tools that caught your eye?

So, have a look around the place, and please feel free to jump in any time with questions or photos or comments or whatever.

Oh yes, and make sure to vote in all the polls!

Stay in touch,
Matthew Schenker

Thank you Mathew, I just purchased the TS75/CT22, Domino with cutter and tenon assortment, 118" guide, and two FSZ300 clamps.

I have many plans since I just purchased a new home and I have been in the finish carpentry my whole life. I do quite a bit of side work and these tools are just what I am looking for.

I was just doing some side work last weekend and a good friend of mine who does cabinets had quite a few Festools on the job site and after two days of building 40' of shelving in a finished garage I was so impressed with these tools I had to order some up myself.

Thank you for the welcome and yes I did vote and I am a member at Sawmill Creek and now here as well...

Love my first, can't wait for the second, um third, umm fourth, uh oh domino, kapex??? Honey where's the paperwork for the second mortgage??

I have 5 Festools now as of yesterday. I purchase locally from my hardwood dealer (Hardware Specialities) even though I don't buy much I am a friend of the owners and believe in supporting the local distributer.  I could of spent the $2K yesterday for the new tools from a online store and saved 10% but as I told the owners I appreciate the local store front and the easy access to help and trade prices on the hardwoods that I do infrequently buy. Made a lot of points with them, I felt it was money well spent.
They have asked me to give them some pictures of the work I have done and they will promote the work I do, can't ask for more than that.

Tell us where you're at as a Festool customer!
Currently Mathew I am banished to my Shed along with my trusty apprentice Simou.

This is due entirely to the 'Man from DHL' who failed to heed my explicit instructions on how to avert the 20/20 vision of my Loved One (CofS) and delivered my new MFT direct to the front door. So, despite using all the cunning, deceit and stealth of a trained killer (Military not Homicidal) to keep the latest purchase from the CofS I was finally thwarted, not by hoards of hairy ar*sed Russians, but by a delivery driver. He astutely noted the air of menace and standoff twixt me and the CofS, laughed merrily at my misfortune and whistled loudly and gleefully as he waltzed down the path to his truck. Simou, who should have at least threatened to assist in raising the 'Man from DHLs' vocal range, merely looked on with that resigned look that is so Rotweillian and prepared for (yet) another night in the cooler. So thats where we're at as Festool customers tonight ie in deep doodo.

Luckily, we have a hidden bottle of Lagavulin which has a label on it saying " For Use in Emergencies Only" so I have declared the shed an Emergency Area. We bid you all a good night from Wales.

On reflection, and warmed by a sniffter or three, I do think I have probably misread the raison d'etre for the thread. But when brains were handed out I was at least four paces behind my trusty mate ;D

Matthew. I am confuse, quite possibly a perpetual state, but do the MFT, CT22 & CTMidi count in this poll. If they do I have eight tools all proudly purchased from Bob Marino. I can never say enough good things about Bob by the way as his service, knowledge and general helpfulness are superior even to the quality of the Festool tools. :o) Fred

I was always rather good in mathematics, but I am having a little trouble doing this simple addition.  Really, I just don't know what should and should not be counted.  Hmmm, maybe we should only count tools that actually remove some wood?  Maybe anything that comes in a Systainer.  How about anything over a certain dollar amount.  It is just too confusing.  And, with more on the way, I had better figure this out soon.      ???
