Recently purchased a 1010 router in which i am very pleased with. BUT

The only problem I'm having is with the oval dust extraction port built into the base .
1st its a little awkward squeezing the extracor hose on in the first place.
2ND once the hose has been fitted to the router for some time it seems to reshape the hose end which meant that when i then used the extractor hose on other tools (festool planer and ts55 ) the hose kept falling out of the tool i had to tape it on each tool in the end.

anyone had this problem..i may Email festool to see if an adaptor is available.

How strange!

I always use a 27mm AS hose with my OF1010s and have never had a problem with the connector end deforming. Several Festools designed for the 27mm hose have oval dust ports.

Both the TS55 and the TS75 collect dust far more effectively using the 36mm AS hose, which fits over their dust ports.

Both of the Festool planers are designed for the 36mm hose because of the large chips.

All the Festool sanders, the Domino and routers OF1010 and MFK700 only use 27mm hose.

It is sort of a PITA putting the hose on the oval dust port and then switching the same hose end to a round port on another machine, I solved the problem by getting a 27mm hose and cutting some short (approximately 12" long for each).  I purchased end fittings to fit to both the machines and to the standard 27mm or 36mm hoses.  I mount a short section described to each tool and never bother to remove it from the tool.  I just mount the opposite end to whichever hose i am using.  I even use the short length of 27mm hose for the 850 planer and hook that to the 36mm hose.  It seems to work fine for me.
I only take shallow cuts with the planer, so there is not a problem.  I do not know if taking deeper cuts would be a problem with the smaller diameter hose attached to the toy

Agree, not sure why you are having that experience.
