The threads on one of the two holes where you attach the template guide or the chip catcher got stripped on my 1010. This happened on my Ridgid Router a number of years ago, so since then I've been very conscious of not overtightening the screws on any router when attaching the sub-base or any other accessory on the bottom. None of the other base screws on my 1010 have this problem.
I can still use the router, since one of the screws still tightens, and the chip catcher kind of snaps in with a tight fit, but I don't see how I can get around getting the whole base replaced -- or is there a way to re-thread the hole, and without voiding my warranty?
