From Brent at Festool.
Just a couple questions:
Yes. The tool end of the hose is the same diameter even though the hose diameter is different.
Sorry to be the harbinger of bad news but the adapter will NOT fit sleeved hoses. The sleeved hose has a plastic retaining ring that clamps the cloth sleeve to the plastic end that screws in to the hose. It's visible in the first picture. The OD of the retaining ring is 1.66". The ID of the original fitting is 1.70", while the ID for the new bayonet fitting is 1.54".
The correct fitting for the 27/22 sleeved hose is 500668 and is presently NAINA. In post #113 Shane has already said that he will notify us when and if this fitting becomes available.

[member=60452]McNally Family[/member], your sleeved hose will work with the sander. But it will have a friction fit rather than utilizing the locking feature. If this is important to you in your buying decision, you will want to wait for the 22mm version of the locking connector to be available.

Shane Holland said:ScoFF said:How do those $50 coupons work? They expire on dec 2017, can I use them anywhere that sells Festool or only at the same dealer we bought this sander from?
When we make a future purchase can we use a maximum of one coupon per order or can we use 5 coupons towards the single purchase and stack them?
[member=11933]ScoFF[/member], good questions.
Vouchers are included in the sander Systainer. They expire on 12/31/2017. They can be used with any dealer (as long as it's the Tool Nut [poke]). Seriously though, you can use it with any dealer. You cannot combine the vouchers on a single order. Nor can the voucher be used to purchase another PRO 5 sander. However, the voucher can be used in combination with a tool + vac/mft package deal.
