As well as the obvious alarm and extra locks I’ve also installed one of these. All my tools are chained up in one way or another. It even sends notifications to my phone.

My neighbor runs a business with several teams working for him, and his trailers are full of trade equipment. When asked about loss prevention measures (other than the standard locks), he said "insurance." So far, he has not been required to file any claims after two decades in the business.

Which part of the UK is it? Or is it more or less the whole (major cities) of the country?

The whole of the uk. They go out thieving from vans taking £1000’s per night and in the off chance they get arrested they get a £60 fine and let out to carry on the next day. Fukin incredibly!!!!

That sounds scary when the consequence of a crime committed is not harsh enough as a deterrent.

What about a Dogo Argentino, Tibetan Mastiff, Great Pyrenees or similar?  Something that'll eat a burglar & then chase down any accomplices too!

It's not just vans & utes that get hit either.  Had my shed & shack literally "cleaned out" to the tune of $50K almost exactly 2 years ago.  Still haven't been able to replace even half of my missing possessions.

Had a decent sized toolsafe in the van for ages now,  its a Clarke site safe and it fits T Loc boxes perfectly.
Surprisingly large amount as well.
