adapting Festool CT hoses to Bosch/DeWalt RO sanders

I have a CT22 that I love.  Is it possible to simply connect the CT22 to Bosch or DeWalt RO sanders?

I've tried with the Bosch;  bought the oval-shaped adapter.  But in order to match it up to the Festool CT hose, I needed a couple other adapters and that makes a very long arm... which puts a lot of stress on the tabs that hold it onto the sander.  Not really a satisfactory solution.

Is there a better way?  Just wondering what others have done.

A Festool sander is not in the picture for the time being.

I remember reading about a guy (woodworking magazine) who used a pool noodle.  The ones the kids use at the pool.
There are two types the hollow and the other is solid noodle.  He cut a small piece to work as a connector and it did work fine.

I think it is worth to try.  Noodles are 1$ or so.

Let me know what solution you found because I am planning to get a Bosch sander 1293D.

I have a bosch 5 " orbital sander.  It has a bosch adapter that is rectangular on the sander connection.  It clips on with two plastic clips.  the end that goes to the vac is round and fits the fetool hose.  I put a worm drive clamp to keep the adapter from popping off the sander.  This setup works great.  I don't remember if the bosch adapter came with the sander or if I had to order it seperate.

I have that same adapter, and I didn't think it would fit..  I even tried once.

Just rock it back and forth and it stretches right on...same as it does on the dx93 oval port.

I like what you did with the electric cord, so not matter what tool even a non festool, you don't have to change the cord.  Great idea!.

Could you tell me how you do it?

I just received my Bosch 1293D and it has the adapter same at yours RO.  It works great, but not 100% as my RO125 dust wise but at very close 90-95%.

All you need is  festool pigtail.  Some of the guys on this forum will have them for sale from time to time.  I bought one from a guy on the other forum ($40) and added a female 20 amp plug on it so I can use any tool.  Some will buy a pigtail and install one on each tool.  Gets expensive and unnecesary in my opinion.
