Alright, which Festool is your favorite Festool?

This is even sillier than Per's, but right now my favorite tool is the Turbo Suction Head that I use on the CT Mini for cleaning my house. My wife's dog sheds 6" long hair that is virtually invisible until it builds up enough to make everything look gray. My upright vacuum can't pick it up, so before I got the turbo head, I had to "rake" the carpet with the Festool floor sweep head, pull the hair out of the brush, and then vacuum the carpet with the standard upright vac. This took several hours just to do the living room. The turbo head can now handle the job in minutes, plus it is light and compact.
Aside from that, the Kapex is the most used tool, and the Systainer Ports and Sorttainers have the greatest impact in keeping my shop organized. You guys would probably lynch me if you found out how many tools I have that have never even been plugged in yet, or have never touched a piece of wood.
Hey Rick,  Saw your blog on your expanding round table.  Good stuff!  You used a lot of Festools on the project (literally, using the drill motor to power mechanism), you should enter in  monthly tool contest.http://www.waterfront-woods.com/Projects/RoundTable/TableBlog.html

Rick......

Thank you for the Expanding  Round table blog. It will make great bedtime reading.

cheers, Roger

1)  The TS 55, vac and guide rail system is my favorite and most used.

2)  The domino would be second.

3)  The multifunction table (mine is the MFT 1080) would be third.

C12! Don't have the Kapex yet 8)

When I used the C12 over the weekend along with my Makita 18V XLT I realized what a POS the Makita is. C12 is smoother and more driving power. Makita will be used for the hammer drill feature for now on and the C12 everything else.

The TS55 is my Favorite.  She is like the gal I lost(Gave?) my virginity to.  This is the tool that started me down the slippery slope of Festool.  After my purchase of the TS55 life wasn't the same.  I didn't really know what to really expect out of a tool before my experience with her.  ;)

My 10 year old daughter Gillian just asked me to post that her favorite Festool is her SysMini. She uses it as a pencil case. The kids in her class are seriously jealous - she had to stop bringing it to school, for risk of it being stolen.

Domino, TS 55, 150. I love showing off the domino.  I had a couple of fellow craftsmen over last night and dazzled then with the demo of the Domino, they loved it, I gave them Bob's web site.

The one that makes the task at hand fun... Last week it was the CS70 with the kapex extensions. (I was going to post a picture of the "height-mod" in Per's redneck thread, but first my phone, and then my PC refused to cooperate...) Tomorrow it will be the of 1010 with the mfs, when I will be making hinge templates for the non- standard sized hinges for the doors I will be hanging soon. Next week it will be the ts55 when the new rubber strip for the long guiderail finally arrives...

I like to show people that come over my new toys, and apparantly I am a bit (over-)enthusiastic, because most people tell me to quit my job, and start selling tools. When I got my domino, instead of going over all the features in detail, and by doing so boring everyone, I just slid off the fence, and let them hear the popping sound.. they loved it... (... chicks dig the domino.. guys like the kapex more.. (and the bosch wallscanner, but that isn't a festool))

I now am the proud owner of four relatively new Festools, (1) TS55, (2) RO 125, (3) 300 EQ and C12.  I also have an extra Sys1 for accessories and a vacuum hose allowing me to hook up to my Fein Turbo II to the Festools.  It is difficult to pick a favorite since I have not had enough experience with them  I must say that, as expected, I have used the C12 more than the others and I do love it.

You never forget your first.    TS-55
My first purchase was the ATF-55 saw (with the rails and vac, of course) and it was great.  But the TS-75 is greater and qualifies as my favourite.  It and its predesor have completely changed the way that I handle sheet goods and made the handling of them so much easier (and, perhaps, saved my marriage because I no longer have to ask my wife to help wrestle plywood through the table saw  ;D ).
I need to mention a very close second and that is the Rotex RO 150 E sander.  It has made sanding a a task that I enjoy.

Hi,

Darn near impossible to answer.      I have the TS55,  CT33,  CT Mini,  ETS150/5,  Trion,  OF1400,  LS130,  Domino.  Adding more sooner rather than later.    Actually as I sit here tryng to decide....  I can't.

The ATF55 was the first. Then upgraded to the TS55    In my shop I can't really build anything with out the TS55. It is my primary cutting tool, and with out it I would need to get a table saw.

The ETS150 is awesome and a pleasure to run.

Trion compared to what I had before is amazing . I don't find it as special as my other tools though. I don't use jigsaws  that much either though.

    LS130 handy as heck.

I really like using th OF1400. It just works so well, and is easy to set up. And the DC is incredible. I almost wish I had a clear hose to watch it work!

The Domino will open new and speedier assembly methods for me.

The CTs , well they just do what they do.

And I absolutely, positively love Systainers. :)

TS55 and guide rail for me. Not quite my most-used Festool - that's probably a tie between my CDD12 and my CTL Midi - but it lets me do things easily that I simply couldn't do (or wouldn't try to attempt) with anything else. Domino is a huge time-saver; don't use it that much, but when I do it pays for itself every time. And systainers, of course; a brilliantly though-out system, and always impresses the customers - but why is the one you need always at the bottom of the stack..?

You know that in a pinch, you can carefully peel off the rubber strip and move it forwards 5mm, re-stick, re-cut the edge and you're good to go for a little while longer... and yes, I am a cheap ***! ;)

Cheers, Pete

I'd have to say mine is the Domino. I've always been a traditionalist and prefer dovetails along with mortise and tenon joinery. The Domino truly makes M & T's childs play!

A close second would be the Rotex!!!

For me, it is the MFT. The MFT just makes everything else work so great. It is the enabler for ALL of my Festools and most of my other tools.

My favorite festool will be a ts55 ot 75 with a stacked dado cutter. Any thoughts on that?
