Things might be slow today on the FOG, but that's because we're out using our tools.  Just wrapped this one up today.

Thanks Brice.  I try not to do any finishing myself.  I don't have the time, patience, nor ability.  Luckily, I just have to drop them off at a finishers booth and pick them up a week or two later.  No muss, no fuss, and he's incredibly affordable.

Jon,

Nice job and improvement to the situation.

Don't worry about Kreg.  I didn't see his signature beadboard!

How did you do the raised panel doors?

Peter

Very true, no beadboard.   [embarassed]

The previous cabinets were a mess, poorly built, poorly designed.  I think it only took me one hour to tear everything out.  Client is tickled pink.

Oh yeah, forgot this picture!

Hey Jon,

I'm not intentionally busting chops, but where are the shelves,  pins, and hardware?  Is a Lr32 in you future?? [big grin]

Nice cabs.

Dan

Hah!  Shelves cost extra, and so does hardware!  [tongue]

Going back Monday to trim out the window and base in the room, and will do shelves and hardware then.  I jumped the gun on posting the pix I guess...Too cool to wait tp post pictures of the truly finished product. [cool]

No lr32, although I have a 55" rail.  Just seems like too much set up time (Ignorance is bliss?).

Thanks for busting chops, I would be disappointed if you didn't.  [big grin]

All's good , my friend.  You should check out the 32, though.  I also thought that for the somewhat limited use I would give it and the set up/learning curve it was a bit more than I neeeded.  I was wrong.  It's pretty intuitive and easy to use.
I really use it.

One hint:  get the long rail with the set.  You can use the long rail on short stock, but not the short rail on long stock (like your unfinished [big grin] cabinets)

Dan

+1 on the long rail.  I have the short one, but will add a long one this month.  They are supposed to come out with spaced rail joiners for the LR32 this year that will keep the holes at the correct interval if you do join two rails.  The LR32 is so much easier and more consistent than any other drilling jig I have used.

jon,  nice looking job,  and thanks for quoting me!  :)

and if you would like, I still have the beadboard franchise available in charleston if you want the rights...... lol  then you can use beadboard !

looks good.  and much better than the before.

how are you going to do the shelves?

thanks for posting....

Kreg,

Thanks for the compliments.  A franchise might be a good call... [big grin].  I jumped the gun and posted this before I put the shelves in unfortunately.  Going back Monday to do the fussy stuff (shelves, hardware, etc)

Jon

Who cares about shelves - I like the clean look  [big grin]
Call it an "artistic interior statement" instead of a built-in and you may even gain a few bucks.... A few minimalistic chandeliers or a nice vase with an orchid or a single rose will close the deal, I'm sure  [tongue]

This great idea is cheap - I'll settle for a 10 percent commision on the money spared on these cumbersome shelves and hardware and such. I can be reasonable..... [cool]

BTW: nice work. Cleaner lines then before - I like that. Would have loved it in a natural finish, but that's up to the customer.

Regards,

Job
