Looking to get into carving and want to get a great beginning set. Has anyone used these or recommend a good quality set.

Thanks
Frank

I have the Henry Taylor set from Lee Valley. They're good, nice and sharp right from the factory, handles are a little bit slender though. My carving instructor recommends Hirsch however.

I have the Hirsch.  It's a small set I purchased 25-30 years ago at Silver Dollar City in Branson MO.  Nice set but the carving thing is not for me.

Thanks guys... Not sure carving is for me but want to give it try. I was looking to add small decorative carvings to my furniture.
