Hi guys,
First time here, and a fairly-new Festool owner. This grey & green gear is scarily addictive, but I digress.
I have the CT 26 vac with the boom arm attached, and this weekend I set up my new CMS GE router table set for my also brand-new 1400 router. Because Festool was clever enough to make the height of their MFT tables, the CMS table, and the Kapex UG cart all the same, I currently have my tables all in a single line side by side, with my vac in the middle.
I'd like to be able to connect the Y-hose end from my new router setup to the main hose coming off the vac which forms the first length of the boom arm hose (I believe I'm referring to the 50mm hose). The reason that I'd prefer not to connect the Y directly to the vac is because the distance between my router Y end and the vac is just a bit too much, and I'd like to keep my tools and vac where they are. Am I correct that one way to make this connection is with the simple hose sleeve (#493 047) and nothing else, since both the Y end and the main hose ends appear to have the same diameter?
Even if this setup would work, does somebody have a better suggestion? Down the line, I'm wondering if, for example, I could buy a couple of extra Y connectors and have both the router and the (eventual) Kapex piped in to a Y coming off this same main hose off the vac, so that no tubes have to be disconnected as I switch tools. Just curious.
Thanks in advance, guys.
