Boom Arm with Workcenter?

Tooltown, or anyone else for that matter, could you measure the distance of the inside of the Work Center when it is raised to full height? Base where a Systainer/UDD would sit to the lower portion of the pegboard. Trying to determine if a UDD would fit inside a Work Center and what type of modifications may need to be done to make it work. Thanks in advance.

22 13/16 inches from base to bottom of pegboard at full extension.

No Bueno:( thanks Tooltown for the measurements, much appreciated.

That's too bad, doesn't look like it can be a nice clean partnership between the Work Center and UDD without some major modifications to one or the other.

Now to decide if the Work Center which would give me the ability to hang tools in between use or the UDD which would cut down on the replacement of filters/bags would be the better piece to get. Decisions, decisions.

I don't have an UDD so cannot speak to that.  I do have a work center.  It is nice, flexible and very helpful.  Great for multiple abrasives and sanders.

The Dust Deputy can be used with the Work Center, but you have to remove one of the pegboard sections. The bottom of the Dust Deputy does not sit perfectly flat on the bottom of the Work Center base, it is tilted up just a bit, I dont think that would matter though.. you could add a strap or a bungee cord maybe.  I have my WC mounted to the MFH rolling stool, but the same should apply if the WC was on a CT Vac. Just an FYI for those interested... And thinking about it a bit more, the remaining pegboard section could be slid down the mounting poles a bit, making the Dust Deputy sit flatter on the base of the WC (see last 2 pix)

Thanks Copcarcollector for the great pics. This renews my hope. Don't know if this is going to make my wife happy though:)

Effectively both pegboards could be installed below the UDD lid. This would provide support and protection to the UDD unit. Two holes on top of one of the uprights of the WC as well as the top row of the peg board could be used to lash hoses and keep everything in place and secured with use of bungy cords or something else creative for a more OEM look.

This is starting to look like it has some real posibility now. Thanks again Copcarcollector. Hope Santa sees your helpfulness and brings you lots of fun stuff for Christmas.

Sure thing glad it helped, though maybe not your wallet!

I put the Work Center back together, but if you need more pics or measurements let me know.

Santa has already been here, thanks to the Jet Black Friday Sale!

Take care

Quick question, can the Boom Arm be attached to a CT that has the WCR-1000 Workcenter mounted on it?

I've used s WC with a boom arm on my CT for a while. It does work but it's a pain to change CT bags taking the WC off off and on.

I bought the MFS and set the WC on it. Makes life a whole lot easier
