I've had a bunch of Bosch Progressor holesaws travelling from bag to bag and never having a "home" and I try my best to look after them to ensure the teeth don't get damaged too much, so I finally got round to making a base insert to house them.
The systainer is a Sys III with Carmine Red T-Loc catch and a Black handle. The base insert is 12mm Plywood CNC'd and has about a 2mm tolerance so it slides in and out with ease. I used a Festool Zobo bit in my drill press for the holes and I'm really impressed with the result, the Zobo's are expensive but the quality of the hole is spot on.
I did a quick comparison for myself: I had some spare MDF and drilled a bunch of 20mm holes using a Spade/Flat bit, Zobo Bit, Hole Saw and an Auger Bit. I wanted to see the quality of the cut from each bit and the Zobo was way ahead of the rest. Good learning experience though, and I hate MDF.......
