I can't get it to do a nearby store search that automatically shows me which inventory levels are at each store in a list like Lowes.ca can do.  You have to go to each store listed and check them out one by one which is a PITA frankly!

Incidentally, speaking of Lowes, I went and looked for the Reaxx there.  Still full price and they only do a 'vendor direct' sale of the Reaxx, so I doubt we will see it discounted at Lowes.ca.

You can, Kevin. Click the "Check Quantities" box (a few steps down below the "Add To Cart" box), and a pop-up screen will show the inventory of the product in other store locations (in your city(?)). Make sure your pop-up blocker is not on for this site.

Missed out.  I have a call in to another store, who have the Saw priced at $ 1,999.00, to see if they will match the $ 499. 

I thought it was a great buy at $1,200.00

I recall doing this with the 10inch Bosch Axial Glide when Canadian Tire was clearing them out for $288.  Had to try different stores, but I did find two near me that were willing to price match it against another CT that had it at that clearance price that was much further away from me.  But the key was that the store location that showed it online for $288 still had some in stock.  Here with this Reaxx, that Tantallon store is sold out according to the website.

Did you actually try calling the Tantallon store and see if that inventory amount is maybe not correct and they have one more in there.  Don't just talk to their customer service rep at the front of the store there, get a hold of someone in the Tools/Hardware dept.  Maybe there's a floor model there.  Usually floor models are never counted in online availability numbers.

Two brothers came into the store, debated buying at 1200.00. Decided to buy both saws at 1200.00  When they went to pay, price came up as 499. 

I am sending my tall, blonde secret weapon in to another store to sweet talk the manager.

Interestingly, I had to go into the Rona Tantallon and lo and behold what do I see ? 

The floor model of the Bosch Reaxx.  Already returned as defective.

I'd still grab it and send it in for repair under Bosch's dime if it is truly a defective unit.  It may be nothing and simply a user error problem.

Maybe there is simply something they do to the floor model ones to prevent people from trying to use it in stores while on display that needs to be rectified.

There was a known motor issue with it bogging down that was a firmware problem that Bosch can correct.  At that price, I myself would grab it and take that route if needed. 

There is a 30 day satisfaction guarantee on Bosch stuff just like Festool has anyways.

I congratulate you on taking the leap of faith on this one Brian.  And what was wrong with it that it was returned for?  Unless RONA had it as a 'final sale' you probably have months to return it there anyways beyond the 30 day Bosch backed limit imposed on their retailers.

Bosch is a quality brand.  They stand behind their stuff.  You should ultimately have an excellent $2K saw for what is a small fraction of the cost after a bit of waiting and such.  I know I would have jumped on the chance to do what you are doing and I don't even need another table saw.

Bosch is sending me a box to ship the Saw from Halifax to Toronto.

I couldn’t find a box large enough anywhere.

One of the cartridges in the Saw has been discharged.

There appears to be a broken wire that connects to the cartridge.

I am not too worried about, i am sure it can be repaired.

That's good to hear.

I was actually looking at a bunch of Rona stores online this morning in southern Ontario.  Two are showing the 'Clearance' banner on their respective product pages when I have their stores as 'my store', but the prices are still showing everywhere at the $1999 price.  I'll just keep hunting and hope for a deal like you got.
