Bosch GKT 18V-52.
Seems like the motor is either very short or it's perpendicular to the spindle.

This is very interesting.  It looks unlike anything I have seen before.  I'm wondering if this is also made by Maffell like their corded track saw?  I have never truly gotten used to my TS55REQ for the buzziness and occasional underpowered feeling (and yes I am a blade changer for specifc tasks).  This might be a good alternative.  Will have to watch reviews going forward.

What makes you think it's a Mafell?  It's quite unlike either my KSS 50 or MT55 EC-motored cordless Mafells.

I think you'll find that it's a Bobbie Bosch original.

Does anyone have any pricing info?  I told myself I could consider a Bosch if it were a cordless since I already have a Makita.  I like my Makita but sometimes you just need a cordless.  I like Bosch and have a bunch of the batteries and chargers.  I'm trying to stick to one battery system.

I am all but certain it is a derivative of the Mafell as their corded track saw is. I have not compared the two so I am shooting from the hip though I do see similarities.

Believe you'll find your aim not so good on this one Jim.

Mafell doesn't currently have a cousin of this saw nor are they previewing a saw like this.

In addition Bosch is introducing a few other tools with this motor/battery combo.  There's a sliding mitre saw, a pair of rotary hammers and a couple of grinders in this round.  Pricing I've seen looks to be about $650 for the naked track saw. Compatible with Festool/makita rails and there appears to be Bluetooth connectivity too.

I am going to agree. Mafell does have a cordless version of the MT 55, but it does not look this. I'd still be surprised to find out it there is not some component sharing. The Bosch track saw is a derivative of the MT 55 though a much more obvious copy. I have the MT55 corded version, but not the cordless one yet. I won't deviate from Mafell, but this is another entry in the track saw world although the price at $650 will not win any new customers coming from cheaper circular saws over.

I’ll bet this is a purely Bosch saw.

While they are still using the Mafell track (the tracks are actually made by Mafell in the same factory as the Mafell gear) Bosch generally prefers to go their own way. They developed their own (inferior) belt sanders (and frames) instead of adopting the Holzher design that nearly everyone else used (and which lives on under the Festool badge).

This saw looks kinda prototype-ish to me. While the form is interesting I’d wait for version 2.

I thought the same thing. Looks too angular. From what little info is available a number of units are with testers now throughout Europe.
My question is what's up with the motor? Interesting form factor.

I think it's just those pics you posted.  Look at the head on view I posted and this one: Has a slight angle to the motor housing , but not as extreme as it looks in your pics.

It's beyond prototype stage.  At least one Austrailian vendor is already advertising the "biTurbo" lineup.  If they already have sales artwork , it's close to rollout.
