Feels like Christmas in my shop today!
For a while I have wanted to get a branding iron for projects I have done for myself and others. I never liked the sticker method and something about burnt wood brings out nostalgia.
I checked the usual places for one but ended up going with a vendor on Etsy. I spoke with him a few times and discussed options and logos (I didn’t have one yet). JP is very easy to work with and was very responsive to my design (both in look and how well it would brand on wood). He is also very quick, I talked to him last week, over the weekend he setup a private order link, I ordered on Sunday evening and the thing showed up today! (Thursday)
It looks incredible!
He also included a sample burn which I am glad he did as I won’t be able to test it until later this weekend.
He can be reached via Etsy under the name MakersMarkBranding athttps://www.etsy.com/shop/MakersMarkBranding . The price is also very excellent! Under $100.00 for a 1.5” x 1.5” brand. He can go larger and smaller and also can do it as an electric version. If you are in the market for one… I HIGHLY recommend.
Christmas part II:
I also ordered a Blum Eco Drill for some cabinet doors I am doing now and in the future. This thing is a tank! I was a bit apprehensive about dropping $300+ for it but once I put my hands on it… worries are gone. I will do a long term test in the coming weeks, but from what others have said, this is a great little tool! I am a hobbyist right now but this is a tool anyone who is remodeling a kitchen or doing cabinets of any sorts should have on hand. Before I was doing the occasional door with a forstner bit and hoping I didn’t go too far, but this should make life a lot more simple.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers. Bryan.
