Centrotec questions

All this [drooling] over the centrotec stuff finally got to me and I ordered the 2010 set from the UK. I believe it goes on sale there at the start of October.

Oh and I should add that I don't even have a Festool drill yet!

Richard, What dealer did you order the set through or are you having a friend send it?  Sounds good.

I ordered it through the Festool UK website. The dealer was called Toucan Tools- I spoke to them- knowledgeable and friendly. I'm visiting the UK in November so will pick it up in person.

I now exclusively use the GRK star drive screws

I have no interest in GRK or any other screw mfr/purveyor, but Torx (star drive) is my preference...

Tom, I have not been able to find a local source for torx screws other than the GRK.  Not that I would change since they work as advertised but sometimes I don't have time to run to Rockler, the only place that carries them locally in Dallas.  HD or Lowes doesn't carry them.

You might also want to consider Spax screws.  My local Home Depots carry them.  Also a  quality fastener.

Mmm!! Spax are yummy, *and plentiful*.  Used a whole box of 'em today doing my garage workshop 'makeover'.
