Chip Deflector Item #: 486242 compatibility with OF1400

I am interested in adding some of the trim accessories to my Festool collection.  I was wondering if the chip deflector can be user modified to fit the OF1400?  The issue is discussed in the following thread.

Sorry for the delay in responding.  The answer is that this item is not compatible with the 1400.  Accessories should never be modified to adapt them to a tool for which they were not designed.
