Circular saw blade edge covers?

I have bought saw blades in the past that have a transparent, slightly tacky, u-profile piece of plastic that wraps around the blade to make them safe and allow you to pile them up without worrying that they will interfere with each other.

Anyone know what this strip is called, so I can buy a length of it?

True, but as I would have to buy the tubing, I’d prefer to find the real thing.

Take a look at McMaster Carr under plastic profiles. I think they sell it by the foot. You could also use rubber edge gaskets/profiles from the same source.

The silicone covers seem to make more sense to me.  The pricing seems high though--but if they last a long time, then good.

I mounted a piece of 3/4" MDF on the side of my outfeed table.  I then drilled 1/2" or 5/8" holes (I don't remember) and glued a dowel in place.  I hang the blads on the dowels.  But since I bought the latests (and so far, the best) blade I find that I no longer feel the need to switch from crosscut to rip blades.  The blade stays in unless I need to dado something.  So far less handling of the blades. 

But that is for a fixed in place table saw.  Perhaps you need this for your Festool (I just have one blade for mine).

I’d also be happy with a similar solution — I was expecting to be able to find a thousand knock-offs of the Woodpecker ones on amazon, but there’s nothing. Weird. I would have thought there’d be a market for them.
