Not sure if this has been posted before but here you go anyway!

While routering out some slots in a desk which will sit above a radiator it came to me to use the clamps on the guide rail as stops.

I had always used masking tape / scraps of wood / pencil lines etc as stop/guides before. I know you can buy guide rail stops for the track saw which will also do the job, but when I have he clamps already no need!

Used the clamps/rail combo again today in a fixed position on the mft rail. I had to bore out around 60 30mm holes. Perfect every time.

Good idea !  You can also get stops that fit on the rails if you want something that sticks up less.

  What are you building there?

Seth

Thanks Seth.

It's going to be a large retail shelving unit with metal poles going through the holes.

I have seen the stops, but that ment going out and buying something else  [wink]
