While I have some thoughts, I am open to suggestions on how to clean a Festool lambswool polishing pad for re-use. Have just used it to polish a tung oil based finish. Obviously I want more use for my $25.00 Aust.!!      [big grin]

Definitely don't wash it under water -> it seems to have real skin in it and it crinkles up when it dries - destroyed one of mine that way [sad]

Well, all you would have to do is mist the back side of the pad (skin) with water and it's pliable again.  I used a lambwool mitt to wash my car and haven't had any issues over the years.

Well yes, I can wet it again, but should I slap it on the velcro pad to dry? I tried drying it on a flat surface and it just crinkled to look like a raisin  [unsure]

Well washed my pad  with 'Nanas Wool Wash'. This is a Eucalyptus oil based hand washing product for woollen clothes and is biodegradable.

Half a basin of warm water, lid full of product submerge pad, rub gently and leave to soak for 5 mins. Rinse out pad in warm water only and press within folded towel, then leave on a drying rack until dry.

As seen in photograph the pad is now quite serviceable.

Whilst this specific product may not be available in your country, look for a Eucalyptus oil based hand washing product for wool.
