Cleaning Saw blades

I was just sharing something I saw in the WWJ email newsletter. Don't shoot the messenger.  [tongue]

Absolutely no messenger shooting, Shane.

Who knows, there could be people who could find the WWJ suggestion useful.

Besides, without the link to that video there could be no discussion as to the reasons your earlier post made such good sense. When it comes to cleaning blades, bits and cutters, we need to see the big picture and think systems. It will not save any money if the "cleaning solution" causes voids in the finish.

If any UK dealers would be interested in a promotion of CMT Orange cleaner, pm me for details. If any user wants to know who may have this is, let me know and I will find out for you.

I use the washing machine, gets a little loud on spin cycle though.

I use the dishwasher, quieter, holds more. Only problem is sometimes spaghetti sauce sticks to them [eek]

In the past I used standard Simple Green to clean saw blades without any issue.  However, after starting to use Freud's Fusion line of saw blades I suddenly discovered that in addition to easily removing build up on saw blades, Simple Green also dissolves the red, non-stick coating that Freud applies to their saw blades [eek]
