So, had a little accident today while using the MFS to cut circles. I had the 1/2" carbide bit in while I trimmed the edge of some wine barrel tops (it was the only bit that gave me the depth I needed).

While turning it with both hands on the MFS, the router (30 mm guide) actually started to come out of the circle cutting insert and the bit contacted it and cut a conical section out.

See pictures.

I'm thinking that this doesn't warrant replacement, as it's inconsequential to holding the 30 mm guide in place?

Thoughts?

As long as the bushing is still snug no reason the replace the keeper.

Sounds like you should have had your third hand on the router [scared]

Were you moving real fast, Fritter?

Oh, I concur, there is nothing really wrong with that part. It just has an additional, optional feature...

Fortunately spare parts are available.
