Hi guys I have a bunch of Bench Cookie's which are from an old work top I made with 19mm holes that they fitted, but seeing error of my Festool ways I ended up with a custom made MFT 3 top and rails to suit my size. And of course I had the top CNC routed to 20mm holes to fit all my Festool clamps and jigs. But I liked those cookies and now they are way too sloppy of course and stupidly the bench cookie people must not have heard of Festool, that would explain why they have made there's at 19mm [scared]. Talk about limiting their ready made market of Festool addicts. Their loss.
But I had a brain wave as one often does, and I thought how can I make the 19mm into 20mm easily, well a sleeve approach was the easiest road I thought, but what has a 19mm hole with .5mm thickness. Nothing that I knew of.......then I thought "electricians shrink tube"....well Masters Hardware here on Australia had the very thing a 20mm tube that heat shrinked around the 19mm cookie post easy as pie.....now it fits firmer with very little slop at all. Here are some pics showing you guys what I mean. You can get shrink tube from electrician shops as well of course.
